BIDEN'S BORDER CRISIS

The sleepy-looking downtown of McAllen would give passersby no reason to believe it is the epicenter of a border surge.

Here, a nightclub has been converted into a resting spot for migrant families. Officials are struggling to keep up with the surge.

“Biden signed an $86 million deal to house immigrants, but they can’t get people like me off the street."

As San Diego's Convention Center transitions from a homeless shelter to a migrant center, homeless residents and parents are growing frustrated.

Residents of Gila Bend have a complex view of the immigration crisis.

The entire town's operations are managed by just 5 people, and they're running out of resources as the federal government continues to drop off migrants in the town.

The March for Life was canceled this year, but the March for Death has already taken place.

The riot cheered on by @TedCruz and @HawleyMO resulted in 5 deaths and the end of any chance Trump had to be remembered as a leader, writes @NoemieEmery1.

Trump will go down as the worst president —

Worse than those who failed to deal with slavery and the Depression.

Worse than President Richard Nixon and his break-in and cover-up.

Worse than President Bill Clinton and all of his interns.

washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/column…
Had Trump simply faced the facts when the votes were counted, made a brief call to concede, and started packing his bags to return to Florida, he might have done much better.

OUR VIEW:

The fears of many public health officials are becoming true, as all indications are that the U.S. is in the midst of a brutal surge.

Unfortunately, the U.S. enters this season with the public health community having squandered its credibility.

Early on, the American people were told that they had to go into lockdown for just a few weeks.

The purpose, everybody was told, was to “flatten the curve,” so there wasn’t a huge spike in cases at a given time that could collapse the medical system.

washex.am/38PanSi
The problem was that even after the curve had been flattened, and the medical system was in no way in danger, officials lobbied against efforts to reopen activity.
