Subway cars should have decades-long lifespans. Metro renewed its fleet a couple years ago.

For the people who don't really need it, Metro is a great transit system.

For those who desperately need it, it's a nightmare.

by people who don't really need it, i mean 9-5 office workers who've been teleworking since march. the same people who, when metro is melting down, can afford a surge price uber. they love the theory of metro.
