Easier to pick the three I'd keep: MCU, Star Wars, and Star Trek. And honestly the last two are iffy, based on the most recent offerings. Maybe, I dunno, we should come up with new things.

DC: I will always love the animated series' from my youth. That's my Justice League. But let's be real, there's only been one decent DC movie (WW) and the rest have ranged from amusingly bad (Aquaman) to unamusingly bad (everything else).

Jurassic Park: One good movie and an endless series of soulless cash grabs. Next.

Harry Potter: Didn't like them before we found out that JK was a hateful moron. Sorry to millennials that had their hearts broken. Get used to it - it happens a lot. Next.

Lord of the Rings. Look, it's racist. It was racist in the books, it was racist in the movies. It's literally right there in the text. Sorry not sorry. Next.

Fast & Furious: Amusing just in how SERIOUSLY the franchise takes its macho bullshit. And how it slowly turned into a superhero franchise where the superpower is driving. We get it, it's about family. Next.

Back to the Future: The first was a good movie as long as Oedipal stuff doesn't squick you out. The second is great and smarter than you remember. The third ... had trains in it. Been dead for decades. Leave it be. Next.

Indiana Jones: it seemed racist to me as a kid and as an adult I realized, it is! Harrison Ford is the walking dead now. Let the man retire already. Next.

Avatar: Hah! No, really. Fuck you.

And for the ones I kept:

MCU: Constantly reinventing the superhero genre. People who write off these movies write off amazing political suspense (winter soldier), fun heist movies (ant-man), space opera (guardians), and the best longform storytelling in the movies probably ever.

Star Wars: Oh, this one hard. I still have love for the original trilogy and one of the sequel trilogy. Love Rogue One. But the reason I included it is Mandalorian. Completely incredible visual storytelling. Both seasons are brilliant and so fun. That last movie, tho? Garbage.

And Star Trek: Sigh. Trek breaks my heart. Every season of Discovery I think, this'll be the one where they get it together, and then they don't. Picard started so strong and then fell in the toilet. Lower Decks is fun. I have hope that Trek will find its way back, but it's dim.

And now I will go to bed knowing I haven't said anything that could possibly trigger anyone on the internet because this is a place where differences of taste are tolerated - no - CHERISHED.
