I have seen statements made by public representatives in Maharashtra about shortage of vaccines. This is nothing but an attempt to divert attention from Maharashtra government’s repeated failures to control the spread of pandemic: Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan

Allegations of vaccine shortage utterly baseless. Throughout last yr as Union Health Min I've been witness to misgovernance&casual approach of Maharashtra Govt in battling virus. Their lackadaisical attitude singularly bogged down country’s efforts to fight virus:Dr Harsh Vardhan

Performance of Maharashtra govt in terms of vaccinating healthcare & frontline workers isn't great. Shocking to see how state Govt is putting Maharashtrians in danger by letting people escape institutional quarantine mandate for the sake of their personal Vasuli: Dr Harsh Vardhan

Similarly, we've seen comments by leaders from Chhattisgarh that are intended to spread misinformation & panic on vaccination. It would be better if the state govt focusses its energies on ramping up their health infrastructure rather than on petty politicking: Dr Harsh Vardhan

Chhattisgarh has seen disproportionately higher number of deaths in the last 2-3 weeks. Their testing remains heavily dependent on rapid antigen tests which is not a wise strategy: Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan

Chhattisgarh Govt refused to use Covaxin despite it being given Emergency Use Authorization by DCGI. Not only this, by its actions, leaders of the state govt have dubious distinction of being perhaps only govt in the world to have incited vaccine hesitancy: Union Health Minister

Many other states also need to bring their healthcare systems up to the mark. Quality of testing needs to improve in Karnataka, Rajasthan & Gujarat. In Punjab, high case fatality rate needs to be improved by early identification of those needing hospitalization: Union Health Min

It's an unfortunate statement. He had held a virtual meeting with the Health Ministers of 11 States the day before yesterday. He had said that we will work together. His statement soon after is very disappointing: Chhattisgarh Health Minister TS Singhdeo

It's right & worrisome that mortality is increasing in the state but saying that vaccination isn't being done here is false. Centre's data show that Chhattisgarh is one of the top 4 states of the nation that have vaccinated more than 10% of its population: Chhattisgarh Health Min

We'd stopped Covaxin's use when it was in clinical trial mode. It was being used in buffer stock.We had buffer stock of Covishield too.Covaxin being administered in Chhattisgarh ever since it came out of clinical trial mode. Unfortunate if he doesn't know: Chhattisgarh Health Min
