5 reasons why leaders are winners.

//THREAd\\
1) People skills.

You need people skills to succeed, and as a leader, you can't escape people; they are part and parcel of your work.

You can't achieve results alone, only through working with people...
The best leaders and winners can understand, connect with, and build trust and relationships with other people.
2)Communication skills.

Can you be an influential winner or leader without being able to communicate successfully? No, you can't

One of the most common complaints about poor leaders and failed businesses is their inability to communicate and connect with their market or teams.
3) Influence skills.

Leaders and winners accomplish everything with and through other people.

It is not done by controlling or micromanaging but by helping people decide to take the right actions.

Influence is required to lead at any level or in any environment.
Learn how to be a winner and a leader, grow your influence, and be part of a fantastic community.

4) Change skills.

The organizations and environments in which we lead are constantly changing

You can't be an effective leader or win if you can't understand the need for change and help others get through it, too

If you are against change, you are neither a leader or a winner
5) Learning skills.

The best leaders and winners are learners.

Leadership and life are far too complex to reach a point where we know or understand everything.

The best winners and leaders aren't searching for a destination; they realize they are on a journey...
Perhaps the most significant barrier to becoming an effective leader and winner is the arrogance of feeling you know it all.

Do you want to follow an arrogant leader or spend time with an arrogant person? I know I don't...

Seven Reasons Winners Keep Winning, Aside from Talent

///THREAD\\\
Winners create advantages that result in more victories.

They understand how to cultivate and build on these advantages to make the next success more likely.

As Vince Lombardi said:

"Winning isn't everything--but wanting to win is."
1. Good mood.

Everyone feels good about winning, and emotions affect performance.

Positive moods produce physical energy and the resilience to persist, while losers will use any excuse to give up.

The winner's exhilaration is contagious; the loser's gloom is toxic.

The Hound Of History

The Greyhound

///THREAD\\\
Greyhounds are the oldest purebred dog.

Dating to the time of the Pharaohs.

The first records of Greyhounds appear about 8,000 years ago.

In ancient Egypt, Greyhounds were revered as gods.

Only royalty was allowed to own them.
The ancient Greyhound is the original sighthound.

All sighthounds that we know today descended from the ancient Greyhound.

The Greyhound is the only breed of dog mentioned by name in the Bible.

King James Version, Proverbs, 30:29-31

How to stop fearing change and how to lead yourself and others through it.

//THREAD\\
To frame this thread lets start with this quote:

"Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like."

-Lao Tzu
In life, when you come up against a large or substantial change, you are more likely than not going to resist that change.

You will probably hesitate and think, "oh no, I don't want to do that."

It is the same within an organization as it is with your own habits.

9 unbelievably easy ways to run a successful team as a leader.

//THREAD\\
The best thing a leader can do is help others succeed.

"It is literally true that you can succeed best and quickest by helping others to succeed." – Napolean Hill.

Making it easier for others to win helps you win.
Step 1: Who is in your team

The team makeup is the most important part to understand, but you don't always pick your team.

Therefore if the team doesn't possess the right skills, the leader must recognize the gaps and help upskill the team.

Maybe even recruit reinforcements.

This month marks one year since I started working at home due to the pandemic.

To celebrate one of the most productive years in my life, here are:

6 Key Tips For Working From Home

(Plus Some Bonuses)

//THREAD\\
To frame this thread, I wanted to start with this quote:

"Most of us spend too much time on what is urgent and not enough time on what is important." -Stephen Covey

While working at home, it can be very easy to get sucked into busywork; this thread's points will prevent that.
1) Structure

When I started working from home, the first thing I considered was structure; the last thing I wanted was to get distracted.

Think about your schedule at the office, and replicate it at home.

This includes commute and breaks...
