Banning the hijab (& other ostentatious religious signs) in domestic sport in France is *another* example of Islamophobia being driven by state institutions under the guise of laïcité (& CT)

It is difficult to conclude anything other than the French state is targeting Muslims

It is possible to dislike the term Islamophobia and prefer the term anti-Muslim racism without resorting to the false narrative used by anti-Muslim bigots in my the tweet above

One wonders why bother....
For those who want to see more about Shawcross and what he thinks, see this thread & it may make sense why there are few worse or more frightening people to have this role

I have had messages saying things like:

"This can't be true, they don't hate us that much do they?"

"This is truly frightening"

"This must be a kite flying exercise"

"They can't be doing this intentionally"

I guess the government genuinely doesn't care.

On the day the "think tank" he is Director of Policy is at (Quilliam), has its report on gang-related CSE (used by the far right) so clearly debunked *again*, you'd have thought he might have some humility.

But instead there is silence.
