Pat Robertson calls America's police force "a bunch of clowns running around who are underpaid and who really are not the best and brightest."

"We don’t have the finest in the police department."

What. Is. Happening.
Does this mean Pat Robertson is now one of those "woke" folks @MichaelWatsonMS warned us about? 🥴
Is Pat Robertson some weird anomaly for whom old age has the opposite effect compared to most people?

I mean, sure, he probably still hates gay people, but maybe his awokening will reach even us as he nears 120.
Here's the video of Pat Robertson calling the 👮🏻‍♂️ "a bunch of 🤡 running around who are underpaid and are not the best and brightest" with subtitles.

THREAD: In a 1955, Dixiecrat Sen. James Eastland of Mississippi warned that the civil rights movement threatened "the death of southern culture and our aspirations as an Anglo-Saxon people."

Integration, he said, would threaten "their untainted racial heritage." 1/ Image
To fight the destruction of alleged Anglo-Saxon racial purity, Sen. Eastland declared "a crusade to restore Americanism" by fighting to preserve segregation.

The Mississippi Dixiecrat tied that fight to the fight against efforts to "socialize industry"—especially health care. 2/ Image
In 1938, Sen. Theodore Bilbo filibustered a federal anti-lynching law. Before he did so, he gave a speech explaining his opposition to the bill:

"It is absolutely essential to the perpetuation of our Anglo-Saxon civilization that white supremacy in America be maintained." 3/ ImageImage

*CW: Suicide*

40% of trans adults report having attempted suicide—92% of them before age 25.

Republicans nationwide ought to be DAMN ASHAMED for launching these attacks against some of the most vulnerable kids in the nation.

Your hateful cruelty drives kids to kill themselves.
But instead of shame, there is pride in these hateful, cruel laws that don't solve any actual problems. They exist solely to remind innocent kids how much powerful people hate them and are willing to crush them to score political points with bigots.

It's disgusting. You cretins.
This is addressed as well to the handful of Democrats in state government who support these hateful laws. Be damn ashamed.
