It’s the biggest mess possible, Covid 19 is spreading like wildfire, the only two suggestions I have is : Double masking is critical and avoid attending any social event, people are still doing marriages and engagements. There are no beds, but we will still try @CharityBeds_

Update 13 : How bad is the situation ? 20,000 cases in Delhi, 10% require hospitalisation, average 7 days, 2,000 a day ? 14,000 ICU beds. We don’t have it. If oxygen levels drop off and you need ventilator support, it’s very tough. Price to pay to be an Indian today. Your life.

Update 21 : UNCONFIRMED - DRDO to reopen their 1000 bed capacity hospital (Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel hospital) in the coming week. If you or your loved ones can survive the weekend !

Update 22 - Just received a message from Mata Chanan Devi, they have 3 beds available for Covid patients. Please call before going as a lot of requests at the hospital level.

Update 23 - 3 PM - if you have someone at home with a 90% saturation. Please start looking for a hospital bed at that time. Not when they are at 75. Why ? because the condition deteriorates in 12 hours. If already in a hospital, your chances of getting an ICU bed are higher.

Update 28 - So today has been a tough day, some people got beds and some are still waiting. But now with 24,000 cases again, 2,000 will need hospitalisation, let’s say 1,000 will get vacant. Where will the other 1,000 come from ?And then tomorrow again ? 2,000 more. Just survive.
