Unfair criticism being drawn towards Pti for going hard on TLP by taking action to establish writ of the State compared to Pti Supporting TLP Dharna in 2017.
Thread
Critics blaming Pti for supporting TLP to gain political strength when in opposition.
Pti is now being blamed to challenge miscreants from same organisation while being in power because it doesn’t Suit Pti,which is NOT true.
TLP Dharna in 2017 was a response from various religious & political parties including Pti,PPP & JI, to National Reform Act 2017.
Pmln had re-elected ousted Pm Nawaz Sharif as president of the party, day after the National Assembly passed the Election Reform Bill 2017.
The bill contained a controversial clause that allowed politicians disqualified from holding public office to lead political parties.
Also many pointed out ‘un-Islamic’ amendments in the new Bill, which clashed with provision regarding finality of Prophethood (as mentioned in Article 62/63).
The Provision regarding finality of the Prophethood had been omitted from the Election Bill 2017 which caused protests.
Through the Elections Act 2017, the words in Form-A “I solemnly swear” had been replaced with “I believe” in a clause relating to a candidate's belief in the finality of the prophethood of Prophet Muhammad and it had been made not applicable to non-Muslim candidates.
Sections 7B and 7C of The Conduct of General Elections Order, 2002, which relate to the status of Ahmedis, had also been omitted from Elections Act 2017.
Section 7B says that the status of Ahmedis remains as stated in the Constitution of Pakistan.
While section 7C states that if an enrolled voter's belief in the finality of Prophet Muhammad's prophethood is contended, they shall have to sign a declaration stating so, failing which their "name shall be deleted from the joint electoral rolls...
And added to a supplementary list of voters in the same electoral area as non-Muslim."
Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq had accepted the changes as "a clerical error" after parliamentary leaders decided to restore the declaration and the sections to their original form.
The reason to support TLP was not to gain Political Strength by Pti which was already in Opposition in NA with being vocal on issues that contradicted with the reason of existence of Pakistan.
The bill sought to incorporate and reaffirm the provisions of Articles 7-B and 7-C of the Conduct of General Elections Order, 2002, through the addition of a new section 48-A in the Election Act, 2017.
According to the bill, “the status of Qadiani Group or Lahori Group or a person who does not believe in the absolute, unqualified finality of the Prophethood of Muhammad (peace be upon him shall remain the same as provided in the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
This was the very reason which caused reaction from various religious & political parties that demanded the status of the clause restored to it’s original status, which was announced by the Then Law Minister Zahid Hamid.
The amended bill was passed but the law minister had to resign as a reaction from different religious clerics holding him responsible for the “mistake” as declared by Pmln leadership & it was The Then CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif that asked him to resign.
Another criticism that Army was to be blamed for that Dharna by TLP (by dishonest analysts) is NOT true as well as the then Fed Govt had agreed to give into the popular demands from amending the bill to sacking the law minister responsible for the mistake.
Comparing PTI’s stance back in that point is unfair because this time TLP is demanding something that has already been pointed out by The Pm Imran khan, time & again from UN’s platform to the most recent statement addressing Honour & Prestige of The Holy Prophet PBUH.
TLP demanding French Ambassador shown out as a reaction can not help projecting Harmony of Islam Religion as things work better when Preached not Botched or Inflicted however they’re still offered dialogue like in the past to come up with appropriate strategy.
Given their concerns,it still doesn’t entitle TLP or any other religious or political party to choose violence over dialogue that not only undermines the greater cause i.e. to uphold Honour of The Prophet PBUH but also promotes criminal behaviour causing lives of the innocents.
Hence it’s only a superfluous gesture that leads towards anarchy as well as challenges the writ of the state which is not acceptable.
Non Muslims undermining Islam can never be reversed by our causing anarchy.
For those blaming Pti in both scenarios,it’s Dollars to Doughnuts.

Our Meeting with Pm chairing along with Hammad Azhar & Shaukat Tareen was in regards to Economic Approach Insafians have been showing their concerns about. It was Gracious of Prime Minister to heed the concerns erupted after ST’s appearance on Talk Shows.
Even more so by ST to take the heat,he was the first one to walk in & the last one to walk out.
Regarding interview, said it went out of context when he said Economy needed direction, was stated in context of the inception of the state, reiterated his support for SBP independence
Pm & ST both assured continuation of Economic Policy this Govt adopted to address external imbalances. ST supports the idea of Growth only within the academic context & not as of a political approach that might land Pak back into BoP crisis.
Former CJ SC Iftikhar Choudhry appointed Qazi Essa straight out of nowhere from a simple Lawyer in Quetta as the Chief Justice of Baluchistan High Court without being a judge for even a single day.
Former President Aasif Ali Zardari issued the notification of appointment of Qazi Faez Issa Wednesday upon the recommendation of Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry
Unheard of anywhere. Iftikhar Ch did this in his famous shuffle of PCO judges where he dismissed all the judges of Baluchistan high court including its Chief Justice.
Our refineries are not deep conversion which can distillate heavy crude into lighter products so FO being the residual product of crude oil will continue to be produced unless the existing oil refineries invest into existing setup to upgrade their refineries.
30-40% FO produced in the county is sellable to parallel market which are not IPPs and remaining 60-70% production which is around 150KT may not be consumable due to its high price and not meeting the merit order for power sector and thus should be exported.
Export Price would be very low in international market so the refineries likely to take the hit of price differential in orde to keep their refineries running and producing lighter products.
Dear @shazbkhanzdaGEO you’re once again confusing the mechanism & this time with LNG Pricing Index,You’ve been more likely busy googling JKM forward curve modelling/ Pricing Slope esp for long term contacts & definitely not applicable in our case.
@shazbkhanzdaGEO you prolly find linking natural gas to crude oil “fabricated” However, nearly three-quarters of all the world’s LNG trade is tied to oil prices & not the %.
Unlike Oil, the global gas trade has no single benchmark to unify it like Brent. The market has grown more liquid over time as more LNG producers, large commodity traders have gotten more involved, led to more short-term and spot buying with gas hub-linked prices almost everywhere
Dear @shazbkhanzdaGEO giving fact is not character assassination, playing victim card on a hypothesis would get woke club attention but that’s about it.
Your calculations on losses are purely hypothetical claiming, had The Govt imported LNG in time, there would be no loss of 122 Bn
But you fail to understand Our LNG terminals (one runs full capacity & other close to full) are operational.
The government has been striving to boost gas supply by incentivising indigenous production with other efforts to import gas by pipeline and as LNG.
However, OGRA predicts an inexorable decline in indigenous production, from 3.3bn ft³/d in FY2018 to 1.7bn ft³/d by FY2028.
LNG projections at arnd 1.2bn ft³/d for FY2020, rising to 1.8bn ft³/d in FY2021 and beyond cos ministry counts LNG projects that have received licences.
