BREAKING: Federal judge orders Proud Boys leaders

SCHAFFER's hearing was not announced on the court's public calendar, which Judge Mehta acknowledged was due to the secrecy of the proceedings. though he noted the call-in line was open to the public. He's now speaking privately with the parties before finalizing the agreement.

In fact, the problems with the "Civil Disturbance Unit" were known as early as July 2020 — and reforms were promised at the time.

But as of March — two months after the Capitol assault — the inspector general found that those changes had not been made.

UPDATE: Since our report that Trump booster Elliot Resnick was inside the Capitol on Jan. 6, several sharp-eyed readers have identified him in additional footage that adds context to his actions that day. politico.com/news/2021/04/0…
We now know that Resnick was in one of the first waves to breach the Capitol, entering the building around 2:26pm, before Pence was fully evacuated. Here he is (at 19:25) coming up the east front steps and appearing to wave on the crowd.
At 8:52 in this clip, Resnick lurches through the doors — while a cop tries in vain to stop the mob — with such force he falls forward. He then stands up and appears to head inside, but...

NEW: In late night filing, prosecutors appear to be increasingly confident that Oath Keepers stashed their firearms at the Comfort Inn in Ballston, VA. This would be the so-called quick-reaction force, or QRF, they referenced.
Oath Keeper point man Kelly Meggs also indicated the group sought out Speaker Pelosi.
And late on Jan. 6, dissension appeared to break out among Oath Keepers, including at leader Stewart Rhodes (person one)

NEW: In February, Elliot Resnick scored an interview with Trump impeachment lawyer David Schoen. In March, he wrote an op-ed defending the Capitol riot.

Resnick, chief editor of the New York-based Jewish Press, is best known for commentary denying the existence of white nationalism, denouncing LGBT people and calling African religions “primitive.”
