Here's how I come with 7 figure ecom brands ideas WITHOUT wasting my time and money chasing "winning products" 👇
If you didn’t know already, there’s one thing I hate seeing people fall into as they begin their ecom/dropshipping journey...
Being obsessed with “winning products”.
Newbies spending all their time searching and testing for 1 “winning product” while ignoring nearly everything else that contributes to a profitable store/brand is why most newbies never have or will make a profit.
And I don’t want this to be you, so keep reading.
First, make sure you’ve already read my pinned tweet otherwise you’re going to be missing a massive piece of what I'm about to talk about.
If you’ve read the thread in my pinned tweet you have seen some crazy facts on how gun ownership has skyrocketed in the past year or so.
“According to the widely cited Small Arms Analytics & Forecasting consulting firm, total firearm sales in August 2020 alone exceeded sales for the entirety of 2019.”
Now let’s dig deeper on this information, why do people own/want guns?
The First result on google gives us some pretty obvious insight.
“A national survey finds that nearly half of gun owners (48%) volunteer that the main reason they own a gun is for protection”
Combine these two statistics together and you can see that a large number of the population feels somewhat unsafe and are taking steps to ensure their safety.
In my pinned tweet I laid out a plan on how to sell gun holsters to capitalize on this desire/emotion, but that isn’t the only way to profit big from this emotion people are feeling.
Here’s something else I would do..
My mind immediately starts racing to think of other products that solve the EXACT same problem.
What other products make people feel safer?
Because not everyone who feels unsafe is going to buy a gun and many people who are buying guns are buying other things to ensure their safety as well.
You can search various words related “home security” or “security” or “safety” etc. on droppoint.site or app.adspy.com or amazon.com or just shoot from the hip if you got it like that
Here are some products I came up with that help people feel safer:
- Home defense Systems
- Personal safety alarms
- Non-lethal self defense items (mace, knives, etc.)
As I explored more, I started coming across some REALLY dope businesses who were capitalizing on this exact same desire, helping people feel safer.
HOW I MADE MY FIRST $30,000 BY COPYING A BIGGER, MORE SUCCESSFUL BRAND AND NOT TRYING TO BE ORIGINAL
This is a thread of the exact steps I took 3 years ago to make my first profitable brand online and how you can do the exact same today.
Let’s get this bread 🥂
Flashback to 2017, I discovered dropshipping and even though I saw the potential and everyone else seemed to be getting rich, I couldn't make any money.
For months I religiously allocated $500/m to testing various products with no luck.
Here are some of the EXACT ads I tested:
I spent hundreds of dollars and only made one $60 sale.
Why is it feel like everyone’s first dropshipping store is pet related?
My first stores
• dog store (never launched)
• camping store (lost $150 on fb)
• dainty travel jewelry (travel bloggers wouldn’t work with me)
• baby clothes (made my first two sales, lost $100)
• slim wallet (made my first $30k)
Should I post some of my first ads?
Posting these so you know what’s UNACCEPTABLE.
I ran ads to these, lost every time.
But I committed to spending $500 per month until I figured it out.
