Thread: Ever wondered what kind of militarized vehicles your city is running around with?

A little (likely incomplete) roundup of police armored vehicles in the Sacramento region.

First up: CHP's Lenco Bearcat A Bearcat Armored vehicle with "Highway Patrol" an

Sacramento Police Department bought a new Bearcat in March of 2020, in addition to one it already owned. This is the older one. The new one cost over $400,000. A dark Bearcat armored vehicle with an armored turret on top
Sacramento Police also runs an older Cadillac Gage Ranger/Peacekeeper. Tbh it always looks kind of sketchy to me, like some amateur killdozered it together in his garage. But I guess it's a real thing. I think they planned to retire it with the new Bearcat purchase. An armored vehicle bearing the word "Police" above
Citrus Heights PD has an International Maxxpro MRAP (Mine-resistant Ambush Protected), for God knows what reason. I think it's been painted green at some point. The Maxxpro was designed for military use A large tan military-style armored vehicle with slit windows
It's difficult to find pictures, but West Sacramento PD has a black and white MaxxPro MRAP too. Next to a West Sacramento Police SUV is a much larger armore

Woodland PD's Maxxpro MRAP originally belonged to Davis, but the community objected so they shipped it the full 9 miles down 113 to Woodland. A large military-style black-and-white armored vehicle with
I hadn't heard of these before, but after they got rid of the MRAP, Davis bought an armored vehicle meant to mimic a standard Transit cargo van. (Photo from DPD slideshow that was ultimately approved for purchase) A slide from a powerpoint slideshow. The title says "Pr

Vacaville PD has an absolutely monstrous BAE Caiman. In an economic impact document I found, VPD reports the six tires alone are a $21,000 value A police officer walks alongside a very large, six-wheeled b

Looks like a Antioch PD has a MaxxPro MRAP.
Surprising absolutely no one, Vallejo PD has a Caiman, a Bearcat, and a Peacekeeper.
I'm pretty sure these are out of commission, but not very reassuring that they ever were in action in the first place. Solano County Sheriff's Cadillac Gage Commando and M113 APC. A large black, angular armored vehicle. Text on its hull rea
Nevada County Sheriff also has a Caiman
It's a bit further away but I wanted to add because it's a different kind of vehicle: Redding Police use a SWAT vehicle made by Texas Armoring Corporation (pictured). They also added a Bearcat early this year. A large, dark armored vehicle with a turret on top, reinforc
A quick correction: on the left is not a Cadillac Gage Commando but the similar Dragoon 300. It's an amphibious vehicle.
One final piece, since a lot of people from out of the area are seeing this. This isn't an extensive survey of the whole state of CA. It's a little slice, mostly covering about a ~40 mile radius around our 6th most populous city. Here's the listed agencies in relation to CA A screenshot of a google maps view showing the state of Cali

CW: Racial slurs

I tuned into Eddie Block's channel just in time to catch him repeatedly call someone a "wetback" at the Tower Theater protests in Fresno.
Eddie is out with a group called "Sons of 76". Eddie called this man "Rick" and implied that he was a cop. Back in November, a man with matching tattoos was in Sacramento wearing Proud Boy gear. He also had "Sheepdog" name tags at that event.
In another video, Eddie Block identifies the man who was photographed wearing Proud Boy colors back in November, as Officer Rick Fitzgerald of Fresno PD

Meet Proud Boy Kenneth Shields of Lodi, CA. Kenneth was at several of the post-election rallies in Sacramento, including 11/21 when he took part in a group beating of a man who was on the ground. In this video, Shields can be seen participating in the group beating in Cesar Chavez Park in Sacramento on 11/21. He comes into the frame at around 0:24 here, and can be recognized by his helmet and black plate carrier.
I received a tip about Kenneth, which I was able to confirm by matching his tattoos to photos from a profile on a bass fishing website (lol) A screen shot of a profile ...Two close-cropped images of...two cropped photos. In each...Two cropped photos in each,...

Thread: Sacramento/Central Valley Proud Boys who took the trip to DC to participate in the violent far-right gathering there.

This is Eddie Block. He streamed live from DC for several hours on 12/12. On 11/21 he "got his 4th" by punching someone who was being gang-beaten on the ground in Cesar Chavez Park, Sacramento, and bragged about it on his stream.
This is "Sparkplug". He's a CVPB who's been part of the group causing problems in Sacramento. The first screenshot is him in DC 12/12.
