An unvaccinated HC worker set off a Covid outbreak at a nursing home in Kentucky where the vast majority of residents had been vaccinated, leading to dozens of infections, including 22 cases among residents and employees who were already fully vaccinated nytimes.com/2021/04/21/hea…
The infections including 22 cases among residents and employees who were already fully vaccinated
Most did not experience symptoms. But one resident did die.
Two unvaccinated residents died
90% of 83 residents had been vaccinated but only half of the 116 employees
20 HCW were infected but just 4 of them were vaccinated
It seems that vaccine resistance has been steep amongst US nursing home staff.
In the U.K. as of 4/4/21, 78% of care homes workers had been vaccinated but in London and Lambeth homes the number was much lower. Under 60%
Whilst a high % that seems remarkably low compared to that Delhi - Hong Kong flight on 4th April - (but several tested positive during quarantine -49/188 seater plane ) and far FAR lower than the positivity rate in India and in Delhi.
“In many places, test positivity is rising at the same pace. Even as more & more tests are done, the share of them that come back positive is still climbing, suggesting tens of thousands of cases are going undetected.”
And x10 times as many people cremated than official records.
“Local news reports for seven districts across the states of Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar show that while at least 1,833 people are known to have died of Covid-19 in recent days, based mainly on cremations, only 228 have been officially reported.”
For me that is the ultimate and grievous insult.
Create conditions where your citizens suffer grievously and die suffering.
Then lie about it. Don’t even count them honestly.
The spike is so steep that the increase looks almost vertical — infecting entire families and overwhelming hospitals.
Whilst Delhi is locking down, but just for six days, in other parts of the country religious gatherings and election rallies are carrying on. And the day the lockdown was announced huge scenes of people fleeing Delhi to return to home towns will have carried the virus out.
