There is a hierarchy of protection: the further we are from wealthy, white, cisgender, heterosexual, able bodied men, the less likely we are to be protected.

I wrote that essay on Sunday, but can post it daily with a new name of a Black or person of colour police kill in the US.

And I don't give a fuck about what police say or their fucked up "reasons" for killing Makiah. They murdered a teenage girl. Who the fuck shoots a girl four times except thugs in a uniform who are licensed to kill? Fuck the police.

Also remember this--and this is exactly why #SayHerName started: #MakiahBryant will be subjected to misogyny and racism that too many will use against her and to "justify" her murder by police.
