The news also comes days after the family of #AntonBlack spoke out against Fowler testifying in the #DerekChauvin trial. Black, 19, died in police custody in 2018. His family filed a lawsuit nearly two years later. baltimoresun.com/news/crime/bs-…
The decision to review in-custody cases under Fowler’s supervision came after 431 physicians— including a former D.C. chief medical examiner—signed a letter Thursday penned to the Maryland AG office criticizing Fowler in the #ChauvinTrial. baltimoresun.com/news/crime/bs-…
“We welcome the governor and the attorney general’s office to get involved in seeking justice for Anton black and his family,” Kenneth Ravenell, an attorney representing the family of #AntonBlack in a lawsuit against Fowler said in a statement. baltimoresun.com/news/crime/bs-…
Maryland-ACLU also backed #AntonBlack’s family in a lawsuit against Fowler alleging a cover-up in the teenager’s death in 2018, which was filed in December. baltimoresun.com/news/crime/bs-…
