Yuuji never expected any of this to happen. From swallowing a cursed finger, to becoming a vessel and a sorcerer, and even being on death row.

Having a crush should have been the last thing on his mind

Yet here he was, sitting on Nobara’s bed with a red face as he confessed to his friends.

“Wait wait, repeat that? I want to make sure I didn’t mishear that.” Nobara said as Megumi looked at his friend in slight surprise

Yuuji squeezed his eyes shut, taking a breath and relaxing before he opened them again trying to keep his cool.

“I...I think I have a crush on Geto-senpai…” Yuuji spoke unusually soft

“...I would have thought you would like that Gojo bastard but this is definitely a nice surprise.” Nobara responded, Megumi nodded in agreement.

“What?! No! I respect and like Gojo-senpai but…” Yuuji’s face began to darken a deep red once more,

“Geto-senpai just...makes me feel strange.”

“Have you thought about telling him?” Yuuji looked to Megumi in shock, shaking his head vigorously

“No! I mean is he even into guys? And if he is, it seems like him and Gojo-senpai are really close. I can’t tell him!”

That earned the boy a smack upside the head from Nobara

“Idiot! You’ll never know if you don’t say anything!”

“Then why haven’t you told Maki-senpai?” Yuuji earned himself another smack from the girl and frowned, rubbing his head.

“This isn’t about me. Since you’re so helpless we’re going to help you confess!”

Yuuji froze, face red as Nobara started coming up with confession ideas and when he looked to Megumi for help only for the other boy to pitch his own idea, Yuuji realized-

Maybe he shouldn’t have told his friends.

Operation: Get Yuuji to confess

Plan A: Invite Geto out for a day out and confess at the end.

Yuuji approached Geto after classes were over, hurrying to catch the older boy before he went off to train with Gojo.

“Senpai! Um, do you have a minute?” Yuuji ran over, trying to keep his heart from racing when Geto looked at him with a smile.

“Yeah, do you need something? Is everything alright?”

Yuuji felt himself melt at the concern clear in his Senpai’s eyes and relaxed.

“Everything’s fine but uh, I was planning to go out to pick up some new movies I was interested in...Megumi and Nobara said they didn’t want to come so I thought I’d ask if you wanted...to?”

Yuuji felt his face heat up, he’s almost certain he’s being obvious-

- but he loses his breath when Geto’s face lights up.

The Older goes to speak when an arm wraps around his shoulders and he can smell the familiar scent of smoke.

“Hey Suguru what’s the hold up?” Gojo replied annoyed and looked at Yuuji just above his shades.

“Hm? I heard something about going out for movies?” Ieiri piped in, stepping closer to the young boy.

“Can we come? I have things I want to do in the city too.” Ieiri smiled as she asked, obviously making sure Yuuji accepted.

And Yuuji, poor stupidly kind Yuuji, smiled sheepishly and nodded.

As he thought of how Nobara was going to beat him, he failed to notice the irritated look on his crush’s face.

Plan A: Failed.

Plan B: Get a moment alone during the group outing, get close and confess!

As Yuuji guessed, Nobara and Megumi were upset when he told them how now Gojo and Ieiri would be joining them

Luckily, his friends were kind enough to join the group outing to help try and keep the two other 3rd years busy while Yuuji took his chance
And well, it half worked

Yuuji was able to talk more with Geto-senpai and get closer but either Ieiri or Gojo-senpai would always follow if the two started to wander away from the group.

Nobara and Megumi tried their best but once Yuuji finally began to confess, he was rudely interrupted by both-

- of the other 3rd years.

“Oh Yuuji-kun, what was it you were saying?” Geto looked at the boy, almost eagerly but Yuuji didn’t notice that or how Geto seemed to deflate when Yuuji shook his head.

“It’s nothing, I forgot already haha” Yuuji forced a smile and nervous laugh

The rest of the trip, Yuuji stuck to Megumi’s side, not even bothering to say much to any of the 3rd years.

Geto kept glancing at the boy and trying to talk to him with no luck.

Even Gojo and Ieiri tried after noticing the usually loud boy had suddenly become quiet.

Though as the group made it back to Campus, Megumi put an arm around Yuuji in an attempt to comfort the obvious failure and humiliation at this attempt.

“Gumi, look.” Nobara whispered, nudging the boy.

Megumi glanced over and saw Geto glaring at him.

Though it was only brief as the 3rd year followed his friends back to their dorms.

“Was that..?”

“I think it was!” Nobara grinned excitedly, though the two agreed to let their friend hide away for the night to recover before trying again.

Plan B: Failed.

Plan C: Wait for the other two idiots to go on a mission!

Yuuji sighed. Nobara had suggested waiting for a day when Gojo and Ieiri went on a mission but there’s one small problem with that-

Geto always goes with them. Just like the 1st years, those three go on every mission together.

Yuuji tried to convince his friends it was better to give up, but they wouldn’t let him.

He both loved and hated them for it.

It was late. Really late at night but Yuuji found himself unable to sleep.

Deciding to at least keep his thoughts occupied, Yuuji got up and put on some shoes to go for a walk.

It was on his way to the track field that he saw a familiar figure smoking while he sat on a bench.

Yuuji hesitated before steeling his resolve and walked over.

“Geto-senpai?”

The older boy jumped, slightly startled by the sudden company.

“Oh Yuuji-kun, you’re up late.” Geto chuckled, putting out his cigarette

“I could say the same to you, Senpai. What are you doing out this late?’ Yuuji asked, sitting on the bench, one leg curled up as he turned his body to face his crush.

“Mm, just couldn’t sleep. You?” Geto looked at the boy, taking in his features in the moonlight.

“Ah, I couldn’t either..” Yuuji laughed softly before silence settled between them.

It was a comfortable silence, one that allowed the both of them to just enjoy each other’s company while lost in their thoughts.

Alone.

They were alone.

No friends around to interrupt them.

Yuuji felt his mouth go dry as he realized this was his chance. He may never get another moment alone like this.

“Geto-senpai I..” Yuuji began but trailed off when dark eyes focused their attention on him.

“Yes?” Geto smiled patiently, turning his body to face Yuuji.

“I um...sorry heh…” Yuuji smiled sheepishly, feeling his face heat up.

“Take your time. We’ve got a few hours before the other two wake up.” Geto chuckled

Yuuji felt his body relax at the sound, even if things didn’t turn out in his favor, he hoped Geto-senpai would-

- still be his friend.

“You...You’re really amazing, you know?” Yuuji offered a small smile as Geto blinked in surprise.

“Just...you’re really strong and you manage to keep a level head in stressful situations. Even-

- though I’m Sukuna’s vessel, you were one of the first people to accept me.”

Yuuji felt his face heat up as tears pricked his eyes, taking a shaky breath Yuuji began:

“Geto-senpai, there’s so much I admire about you and I just want to tell you…”

Geto watched patiently as the boy struggled with his words

“It’s just that I...you…” Yuuji fumbled over his words flustered

“You...I’m so sorry this shouldn’t be so hard to say…”

“I’m not really good at this but I…” Yuuji felt a hand gently placed on his, looking over to see a comforting smile on his Senpai’s face.

“I…” Yuuji licked his lips and took one more deep breath “Senpai, I’m in love with you!”

Yuuji covered his mouth as soon as the words left his lips.

Oh god...He did it...he really confessed.

Geto carefully grabbed Yuuji’s hand away from his mouth, the younger boy going to apologize when rough lips pressed against his.

Yuuji froze, wondering if any of this was real. When he felt Geto’s tongue ask for entrance, Yuuji knew it was real and gladly let the older man pull him close and deepen the kiss.

By the time the two pulled away, Yuuji had somehow moved onto Geto’s lap.

Geto gently knocked his head to Yuuji’s, a sincere smile on his lips.

“Finally…” Geto looked at Yuuji so warmly, so full of love it caught Yuuji off guard.

“I was hoping all of this was so you’d confess. Then I saw how close you and Megumi-kun were-

- and thought I had misread everything.” The older boy laughed quietly

“Wa-wait so you...you knew?! What about Gojo-senpai though? You two always seemed closer than most!” Yuuji pouted, unsure how to feel knowing that his crush knew of his feelings.

Geto nearly choked at the boy’s words.

“What? No! He’s my best friend sure but that’s it.” Geto quickly shut down any thoughts Yuuji may have had on his relationship with the arrogant 3rd year.

“So..does this mean...Senpai feels the same?”

Even though the kiss should be obvious enough, Yuuji couldn’t help but want to hear the words outloud.

Geto smiled.

“I love you, Yuuji Itadori.”

Yuuji smiled, hurrying to kiss his new boyfriend. He was over the moon, he could finally feel the weight lifted off his chest.

When Geto pulled back once more from the kiss, Yuuji whined causing the older to laugh.

“Geto-senpai-” Yuuji was cut off when a finger pressed to his lips.

Geto had a mischievous look in his eyes as he stood, lifting the boy in his arms.

“Call me Suguru from now on. I want there to be no mistake who you belong to when they hear you scream it.”

Yuuji’s face was bright red, unable to do anything but squeak as he was carried off to Ge..Suguru’s dorm room.
