Under the direction of Union Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Public Sector Undertakings, under the Ministry of Steel & other private companies in the steel sector are continuing their best to supplement efforts of Govt in making available Liquid Medical Oxygen: Govt of India
Total daily Medical Oxygen production capacity of Steel plants is 2834 MT. In Steel sector, there are 33 oxygen plants of which 29 tapped regularly. As against 2834 MT of daily LMO production capacity in the Sector, the production of LMO is 3474 MT as on 24th April: Govt of India
This is higher than LMO production capacity because most units have reduced the production of Nitrogen & Argon & only producing LMO. 2894 tonnes were dispatched to different states on 24th April by Steel Plants as against 1500/1700 Metric Tonnes /Day a week earlier: Govt of India
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Mumbai Refinery is gearing to supply 40 tonnes of gaseous oxygen daily, through a pipeline, to jumbo Covid centre being set up by Maharashtra government near Mumbai Refinery: BPCL PRO

Earlier, curfew was imposed in 20 cities, including 8 major cities, from 8 pm to 6 am. Curfew will be imposed to other cities Himmatnagar, Palanpur, Navsari, Valsad, Porbandar, Botad, Viramgam, Chhota Udaipur and Veraval - Somnath from 8 pm to 6 am: Gujarat CMO

Order will come into effect from 28th April and will remain imposed till 5th May 2021. All essential services will continue in the above 6 cities during these restrictions. Grocery stores, vegetable shops, fruit shops, medical store, dairies, bakeries will be allowed: Gujarat CMO

Justice DY Chandrachud asks, "When can you start the plant?"

"We can start producing oxygen in maybe 10 days," Salve replies.
As Solicitor General Tushar Mehta and other parties enter into a verbal duel, Justice DY Chandrachud says, "We are in a crisis. There cannot be political bickering in this court. We are in a national crisis. We have to support the nation as a court."
