To increase medical oxygen capacity of Delhi, eight Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) Oxygen Generation plants are being installed with the support of PM CARES Fund. These plants would enhance the capacity of medical oxygen by 14.4 metric tonnes: Government sources
One of the eight Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) Oxygen Generation plants was installed at Burari Hospital, Kaushik Enclave, Delhi on March 17: Government sources
Four plants, one each at Deen Dayal Upadhya Hospital, Lok Nayak Hospital, Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital in Rohini & Deepa Chand Bandhu Hospital in Ashok Vihar are expected to be completed by April 30. Site readiness of these hospitals was delayed by state govt: Govt sources
For Ambedkar Nagar Hospital in Dakshinpuri, the site has been readied as late as April 19 by the Delhi Government. Site readiness certificate of Satyawadi Raja Harishchandra Hospital, Narela has not yet been submitted by the State Government yet: Govt sources
In Delhi, 7 of 8 plants were to be setup at Delhi govt hospitals, & one at Central government hospital - Safdurjung. After multiple follow-ups with Central government, plants for 5 hospitals were delivered in early March 2021: Delhi Govt
These plants take 3-4 days for installation. However, once again, the vendor was non-responsive and after multiple follow-ups with the Centre, only 1 of 5 plants has been made operational till date: Delhi Government
We are shocked to learn that Central government is now making the excuse of site certificate not being available from Delhi government as a reason for delay in plants. This has never been brought to Delhi government’s notice and is an outright lie: Delhi Govt
