15 Productive Habits of Wealthy & Successful People

| Thread
The vast majority of rich people didn’t get there by accident or luck.

Accumulating wealth requires hard work, dedication,
and maintaining a specific set of habits that foster prosperity.
successful people are different than you and me.

This list of 15 successful habits will teach you how to become rich and put you on the path to wealth and success.
1. Goals

To be successful, you need to have defined, measurable goals.
Rich people understand that writing down goals,
reviewing them regularly,
and keeping a laser focus on achieving them is essential to success.
2. Eat Healthily

“70% of wealthy eat less than 300 junk food calories per day.
97% of poor people eat more than 300 junk food calories per day.”
If you don’t feed yourself well, you don’t feel well, and you can’t think well.

And that makes it hard to have the energy and focus to pursue your goals.
3. Exercise

Exercising goes hand in hand with eating well. Regular exercise helps to boost mood and energy.
Exercise is like a diet; there is no one-size-fits-all.
The best exercise is the one you will do so find something you enjoy.
4. To-Do List

Always make a to-do list before you go to bed at night.
It helps keep intrusive thoughts out of your head.
5. Read

Reading is important. If you want the most bang for your buck, read a book that will teach you something.

Maybe you want to learn to be rich or how to make discipline in life.
6. Network

Wealthy people network. It’s all about who you know.

Meet as many people as you can and maintain the connections.
7. Wake Early

Get up a little earlier and claim those hours for yourself.
Read, exercise, make a cooked breakfast.

Not starting your day with a harried mess will greatly improve the rest of it.
8. Opportunities

“84% of wealthy believe good habits create opportunity luck vs. 4% of poor.”

Luck is the meeting of opportunity and preparation.
It’s one thing to get a lucky break; it’s another to recognize it and be ready to jump on it.
9. Always Be Learning

No matter what your circumstances, you should never stop learning.

Learning doesn’t have to be heavy-duty academic subjects. Learning to salsa is learning too!
10. Multiple Sources of Income

There are many different ways to increase your income outside your day job such as:
side hustles, owning a business, or dividend investing. The possibilities are endless!
There is also a thread of mine about the benefits of side-hustles:

11. Positive Attitude

Having a positive outlook on life is an essential trait that allows you to pick yourself up and try again when things aren’t going your way.

It goes a long way to creating the determination and focus it takes to get there.
12. Live in the future

One thing they do differently daily is an attempt to forecast future trends.

When it comes to building wealth, a daily habit to practice is forecasting what challenges the future may bring.
13. Time is money

Wealthy people work hard to achieve their goals, to the exclusion of most other activities.

They avoid wasting time on nonproductive things like social media,
and that’s because of their belief that time is money, and time misspent is money lost.
14. Risks

Wealthy people understand that risks lead to rewards, and as a result, they’re more willing to go out on a climb.

They know exactly what they stand to lose if a risk fails to deliver its reward.
15. Give up

Wealthy people don’t quit.

When they have their mindset on a goal, they are determined and become passionate about achieving their goals at all costs.
There’s no special secret to becoming successful.
Almost anyone can become a millionaire, but few actually achieve it.

But by studying the habits of those that have attained wealth, you too can set yourself on the path toward success.
Set a goal to establish one or two of these wealthy habits for yourself, and see how it can transform your life for the better!
