CARVILLE: "Dems have to make the GOP own the insurrection every day. There'll be all kinds of investigations and stories dripping out for god knows how long. Dems should spend every day tying all of it to the GOP."

I'm doing it, @JamesCarville. But who in the party is listening?

(PS) There's only one media outlet in America focusing almost exclusively on the insurrection investigation, @JamesCarville—PROOF—and I don't see a *single* major national Democrat spreading the word about it. Let's not offer advice no one intends to take. Sethabramson.substack.com

(PS2) Carville said this in arguing that "wokeness" is killing the Democrats. Whether that's true or not, Glenn Greenwald and I have 2 of the 25 most-read pubs on Substack and the DC GOP embraces him for his antiwokeness but the DC Dems don't embrace PROOF for covering January 6.

(PS3) What Carville misses—among many things—is that the GOP relies on non-DC voices—as all their DC voices are moronic. Meanwhile no DC Democrat would dream of casting a light nearly so much on non-DC voices. Maybe Carville needs to talk to his *friends*—not harangue professors.

(PS4) I don't think media has a liberal bias—broadly, it has a *profit* bias—but DC Democrats have for years been so confident that between them and media and academia they will have everything they need that they have not done much to support or encourage independent journalism.

(PS5) Now there's this war on independent journalism being waged by legacy media—actually it's been going on for nearly a decade—and you don't hear any DC Democrat saying "Knock it off—good journalism is good journalism, wherever it comes from." (Especially January 6 journalism.)

(PS6) So then Carville comes out and says, "I can't figure out why no one's talking about January 6 every day!" And of course the answer is that his friends in legacy media and DC have done everything possible to ignore or destroy the independent journalism focused on January 6.

(PS7) Meanwhile if a BLM protester *farts wrong* some indie journo is immediately all over it. Then legacy media on the right is all over him/her—and DC Republicans are all over that coverage. It doesn't go that way when real sh*t happens and a progressive indie journo covers it.

(PS8) So on the political right, @JamesCarville, indie journalism flourishes. Glenn Greenwald is a name on everyone's lips. Meanwhile the political left has *significantly better* indie journalists—even as you and your friends wait for legacy media to catch up from a year behind.

(PS9) There, I said it. And I ain't sorry. The left has *better independent journalism* than the right, but because the left believes legacy media is generally favorable to it, it has done *nothing* to create a political culture within which progressive indie journalism blossoms.

(PS10) I hear those of you who say Carville gets it, but no—he doesn't. If he knew progressive indie journos were all over the January 6 story, he would've said so to Vox. Instead, he begged DC Democrats and legacy media to create *new* journalistic work-product from whole cloth.
