(🆚) BREAKING: Donald Trump is the most infamous and unrepentant serial federal witness tamperer in American history—Comey, Cohen, Manafort, Yovanovich, countless others. And it looks like he just struck *again*. I hope you'll subscribe, read, and RETWEET. sethabramson.substack.com/p/breaking-ins…
(PS) It is impossible to overstate how important a federal criminal witness Charles Herbster is in the biggest investigation in the history of the FBI. He was the first to reveal the January 5 "war council"—and did so in a way that he can't take it back now. Other Trumpists lied.
(PS2) Flynn and Bossie said they weren't at the January 5 conclave, which is the most lied-about meeting of Trump's presidency—and is one he may well have attended via video conference from the White House (there is ample evidence to this effect). Tuberville lied, then retracted.
(PS3) Lewandowksi says he was there but lied about what happened. Trump Jr. was lied *about* by an anonymous Trump camp source, which said he merely "stopped by" (he was there for hours). Giuliani was placed there, then at the White House instead, and when asked by the media...
(PS4) ...Giuliani said "I'd have to check my calendar and never got back to the reporter who'd been questioning him." Daniel Beck has refused to answer any questions about the event, though—like Herbster—he was the only other attendee to accidentally acknowledge that it happened.
(PS5) Others—Doyle Beck; Layne Bangerter; Adam Piper—attended but have been mum so far. Peter Navarro lied about being at the meeting, just as Tuberville did. Jr. and Eric are family and will lie as they have to—as will Don's girlfriend (and a presidential adviser) Kim Guilfoyle.
(PS6) The weak links are Daniel Beck—a QAnon zealot—and Herbster, a pragmatist. Though I'm a former criminal investigator in the federal system as well as a former criminal defense attorney, you don't need that background to see Herbster as the most dangerous "January 5" witness.
(PS7) The FBI has—as with Beck—an "in" with Herbster, as Herbster already "confessed" many things about the January 5 meeting, even slipping up and saying he was at the White House (one of the many pieces of evidence that Trump International was in a conference call with the WH).
(PS8) With Trump ensconced in Mar-a-Lago and Herbster having already lied to the media and voters about what he did on January 6—he flew to Mar-a-Lago w/ the Trumps, rather than going to Nebraska as he told Nebraska media—another Herbster trip to Mar-a-Lago was probably unlikely.
(PS9) No one thinks Trump cares about Nebraska politics. No one thinks Trump is loyal to his friends. No one thinks Kellyanne Conway would go to Nebraska on her own accord. No one thinks Corey Lewandowski would go to Nebraska on his own accord. These are things that get cleared.
(PS10) That Conway and Lewandowski entered the State of Nebraska and *immediately* Charles Herbster—inevitable federal criminal witness in the Investigation of the Century—started reciting public loyalty oaths (to Trump) of *exactly* the sort Trump demanded from Comey is telling.
(NOTE) Even the *language* of Herbster's swearing-of-fealty was telling. He didn't promise to be loyal to Trump's agenda. He didn't promise to be loyal to Trump's "values." He didn't promise to honor Trump's legacy. He swore undying and unadulterated loyalty to *the man himself*.

The two most talented and successful "curatorial journalists" on TV are Rachel Maddow and John Oliver. What I try to do on Substack via digital articles, source curation and thousands of links is what Oliver does in (NSFW) eviscerating Tucker Carlson here.
With Oliver does here is show how scores of disparate but reliable major-media data points—discernible across decades—are in conversation with one another.

What results is a network of information whose individual nodes are transparently offered and can be *traced and assessed*.
But even as Oliver is issuing a coherent report on Carlson, you'll notice that it's all "metajournalism"—he is exclusively using information produced, published, and originally disseminated by others. He is not claiming to have any sources and he is not conducting any interviews.

I understand some folks want me to stop pointing out that I published a bestselling 600-page book on all of this eight months ago but I'm afraid that's not going to happen because I worked my ass off on the book and it has 5,000 fact-checked sources

Link: amazon.com/gp/aw/d/125027…
I want everyone to imagine what would have happened if Donald Trump had won the election with major media having ignored a 600-page September 2020 book on Giuliani's crimes—even as DOJ, under Barr, was also covering up those crimes—and then we just found out about all of it today
I don't have a PR team or allies in media, so when I have a 600-page book on the crimes of Trump/Giuliani two months before a presidential election there's nothing for me to do except talk about it so obsessively on Twitter I get briefly shadowbanned by Twitter (yep, it happened)

PROOF began in January with me accusing 3 state GOPs of being insurrectionist entities: AL, AZ, FL. Now the AZ GOP has hired a FL conspiracy theorist to count ballots as an AL man who told insurrectionists to "kick ass" on 1/6 is at Mar-a-Lago fundraising for his Senate campaign.
PS/ Americans need to understand that it is *not coincidence* that the FL GOP is pushing for the corrupt Ron DeSantis to run for POTUS and that Mo Brooks the insurrectionist is now favored to become Mo Brooks to the AL senator. Certain state GOPs are now insurrectionist entities.
PS2/ My point is that news stories that right now media *isn't* networking must be networked.

It's not, "Oh! An odd thing happened in AZ!" and then "Oh! An unrelated odd thing happened in FL!" and then "Oh—in Alabama now!"

These 3 state parties are insurrectionist institutions.

Just 8 months ago, I published a national bestseller about the crimes of Rudy Giuliani.

NPR called it a "searing indictment." Kirkus called it "careful and exhaustive." It has a 5-star review average on Amazon.

Maybe now is a good time to check it out? amazon.com/Proof-Corrupti…
(PS) My book is 600 pages about the crimes that Trump's lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, is now being investigated for. Not one error has been found in the book—and there is no other book on the subject. What is being called "breaking" today was written about *comprehensively* last summer.
(PS2) PROOF OF CORRUPTION was combed over by a *team* of professional fact-checkers. It was published by one of the "Big Five" NYC trade publishers in the U.S. (Macmillan). Today would be a good day for political reporters to start reading it. It was 8 months ahead of this story.

As a Simon & Schuster author I find this editorial decision risible. Not due to Conway's politics—I agree publishers should publish work offering many perspectives—but because she's a *confirmed serial prevaricator*. Authorship at this level requires a certain baseline integrity.
(PS) A publisher can say that they are neutral or balanced as to their domestic politics, but they can't remain neutral on the matter of *truth*.

The moment publishers become ambivalent on *that* question, they cease to have any even *basic* moral standing as marketplace actors.
(PS2) Jonathan Karp's response is incomprehensible to me. To say Simon & Schuster isn't in the business of "canceling" is in no way responsive to the question here: is Simon & Schuster in the business of voluntarily publishing authors it knows can't be trusted to tell the truth?

CARVILLE: "Dems have to make the GOP own the insurrection every day. There'll be all kinds of investigations and stories dripping out for god knows how long. Dems should spend every day tying all of it to the GOP."

I'm doing it, @JamesCarville. But who in the party is listening?
(PS) There's only one media outlet in America focusing almost exclusively on the insurrection investigation, @JamesCarville—PROOF—and I don't see a *single* major national Democrat spreading the word about it. Let's not offer advice no one intends to take. Sethabramson.substack.com
(PS2) Carville said this in arguing that "wokeness" is killing the Democrats. Whether that's true or not, Glenn Greenwald and I have 2 of the 25 most-read pubs on Substack and the DC GOP embraces him for his antiwokeness but the DC Dems don't embrace PROOF for covering January 6.
