If there is one thing you can objectively say Glenn is 'principled' in his defense of these days, its in defense of older men preying on teens & other various sex pests. And of course it's not bc he has his own self interests involved. That would be an odious smear.

The 'nothing will fundamentally change' was 'you didn't build that' level dishonesty from the 'left.' It was literally saying the opposite of what they claimed; Biden telling rich donors that if taxes were raised for them, their lives would not be changed at all.
But since 'the left' never met a smear or outright lie about Dems they didn't love, they made it into a central criticism of Biden. Because lying is good, as long as it furthers the cause of Socialism...or something.

Always hilarious that the 'no proof, no collusion' people had to overlook a literal russian intelligence officer getting internal polling data from the chairman of the Trump campaign (who himsel had a long history of ties to Russia). Like he just wanted the polling...for fun?
I suspect thats why most of them (Glem included) just pretended the Senate intel report didn't exist. Never mentioned it. They'd already declared victory based on (the Bill Barr summary of) the Mueller Report and they were not going to let that change.
Also, Glem's whole argument for why the Hunter Biden emails are the most important thing on earth is that one of them references 'the Big Guy', but yet was completely uninterested (again, didn't mention) much more blatant corrupt (hacked msg) dealings.

The difference b/w the Glenn Standard he applies to believing anything that goes against his narrative ("I just need to see 100% rock solid proof, beyond a reasonable doubt") & the casual smearing he does of people he sees as "enemies" is so comically glaring.
People point out something obvious about Glenn ("Hey you've spent an awful lot of time defending white supremacists.") & he will respond indignantly w/ a demand that the commenter produce a notarized copy of Glenn saying "I love White supremacists" or else it's a lie & a smear.
But here when it comes to Bellingcat, someone he sees as an enemy, he just casually declares them "a propaganda arm of the CIA & State Dept." Source? None. Just pulling out of his ass. Because the opposite of the Glenn Standard applies when he's the one making the accusations.
