I was a child but I have a very clear memory of a John Wayne film being cut short as they went live to the Iranian Embassy and thanks to this tweet I know now that it was Chisum (1970)

This is the fascinating thing... so many people were annoyed because it interrupted the snooker and that film it seems. That's human beings. We don't all sit glued to the event like what they do in films. We get annoyed at the disruption
Apparently it was Rio Lobo - a far superior movie to Chisum so no wonder I was annoyed.
