We have all made decisions we regret & wish we could go back.
Using a step-by-step decision-making process can help you make more deliberate, thoughtful decisions.
These are 9 steps for better decision making 👇
1. Know Your Goals
It’s much easier to make decisions when you're abundantly clear on:
- What you’re trying to achieve.
- Why you’re trying to achieve it.
- & how you plan on achieving it.
2. Don’t Rush, Take Your Time
Try not to rush into making a big decision that comes your way.
Follow your deadlines but if you need more time to meet them ask for it. Be sure you are not procrastinating.
3. Visualize Your Decision
It is hard to know exactly how an important decision will turn out. Things simply don’t always turn out like we think they will.
So, before we make a decision, taking a little extra time to visualize how it could turn out is important.
It’s an extra step that could make a difference.
4. Facts + Emotions = Balanced Decision Making
There’s certainly a value to considering emotions that should not be dismissed entirely.
But the best business decisions based on logic.
The balance of logic and emotion allows for effective decisions to be made.
5. Follow Your Value Compass
Successful people know the importance of sticking to their morals and values when making an important decision.
Being true to who we are, our integrity, professionalism, and personal reputation follow us.
6. Seek Out Feedback
When we struggle with difficult decisions and circumstances that are a consistent part of our careers, we need to know who has our back and is a valued resource.
We grow and succeed not by ourselves but with others who share and support our goals and values.
7. Don’t Overthink
Successful people know the importance of gathering as much information as they can, but at the same time, they make certain not to fall prey to analysis paralysis.
They know that they need to have a time-table to follow in reaching their decision
8. Take Your Own Advice
it’s most important to be authentic, trusted, professional, and consistent.
The public is smarter than ever before but is being bombarded with so much content and information that has led to burnout, mistrust, and fatigue.
So, plz take your own advice.
9. Consider All The Options
Sometimes, but rarely is there one unequivocal decision option.
There are no perfect plans and no perfect decisions; we make choices, in a timely manner, modify if necessary and go with them.

We all worry and get upset from time to time.
It’s a normal part of life, right?
But what happens when that anxiety or anger takes over, and you can’t calm down?
Here are some helpful, actionable tips you can try the next time you need to calm down.
1. Breathe
When you’re anxious or angry, you tend to take quick, shallow breaths.
This sends a message to your brain, causing a positive feedback loop reinforcing your fight-or-flight response.
That’s why taking long, deep calming breaths disrupts that loop and helps you calm.

🧵 THREAD TIME: 👇
Have you ever thought of yourself as a problem solver?
I’m guessing not. But in reality, we are constantly solving problems. The better our problem-solving skills are, the easier our lives are.
You don’t have to be super smart to be a problem solver, you just need practice.👇
1. Focus on the Solution, Not the Problem
your brain can't find solutions if you focus on the problem.
Because when you focus on the problem, you’re effectively feeding negativity, which in turn activates negative emotions in the brain. These emotions block potential solutions.
