Age 739 (one of these days I’ll hit the 740s): with the destruction of their adopted home world, the Saiyans of U7 are reduced to a mere handful of survivors: Prince Vegeta IV, Nappa, and Bardock’s two sons, Raditz and Goku (née Kakarot) #HistoryofEver Image
And Vegeta’s younger brother, Tarble Image
And Paragus and Broly Image
And other Paragus and other Broly Image
And Goku Black Image
And time-traveling Bardock and the oh-so-mysterious Masked Saiyan ImageImage
And these two guys, whoever the heck they are Image
?!?!??!!??!!!??? Image
But all of these people are definitely dead. So far as we know. Image
To close out the whole “destruction of Planet Vegeta” topic, some final notes on chronology. DBS: Broly opens with the caption “41 years ago”, leading into Cold’s arrival on Planet Vegeta and Broly’s exile. Then it jumps forward five years, to the planet’s destruction. ImageImage
After the fireworks, we get the year scroller which starts at 737 and goes to 775 before finally settling on “the present”, the implication being that the main events of the film take place at some point past the year 775. ImageImage
Even without trying to fit this in with dates given elsewhere, the film’s chronology is internally inconsistent: if the opening scene is both 41 years ago and 5 years before 737, this should make “the present” 773 rather than sometime after 775.
It seems likely that “41 years ago” was originally meant to refer to Planet Vegeta’s destruction rather than Broly’s exile 5 years earlier. In BoG Beerus has slept 39 years (implicitly not long before the planet’s demise) and a 2 year gap between BoG and DBS: Broly roughly fits
41 years after 739 would be 780, Bra’s official birth year and so by extension the year of the Tournament of Power, which is consistent with the film’s “present day” scenes being set not too long after the tournament. 780 is also 2 years after 778, BoG’s official date ImageImage
With all that in mind, if you’re OK ignoring most of the onscreen years in DBS: Broly, the timeline looks something like this:
732: Vegeta born
734: Cold retires, Broly exiled
736~737: Goku born
739: Planet Vegeta destroyed
749: Goku meets Bulma
778: BoG
780: ToP, DBS: Broly
On the other hand, if you’re not comfortable ignoring the years shown onscreen in DBS: Broly, we can keep 737 for Planet Vegeta’s destruction and calculate from there, although getting the “41 years” thing to work still seems hopeless.
And that’s my TED Talk! If there’s anything I left out, screw it. Image
On Tuesday: the grandfather clause! Image
Thanks to @DBReduxTDC for help with Broly chronology and whatnot

Age 737: While the lovey pineapple-haired Nappa looks on, young Vegeta plays with his favorite toys, the latest new and improved cultivated men. But where does he get such wonderful toys? #HistoryofEver
Toriyama’s original explanation is that the Saibaimen were created by Saiyan scientists via biotechnology. This comes from one of the memos he provided the anime staff to help with filler, the same source as his Tsufruian designs and other tidbits. kanzenshuu.com/animation-prod…
The Saibaimen’s Daizenshuu 7 bio references Toriyama’s memo on their biotech origins, and also notes that the ones currently in use are enhanced versions from Age 737 (this factoid is mentioned in the timeline too, and comes from the mook’s description in the Bardock special)

Age 734, again: long after subjugating the Saiyans, Cold decides to retire so he can spend more time with his family: his wife (who may not exist), elder son (not canon), younger son (who hates him) and grandson (also not canon). Yes, Cold Castle is a lonely place #HistoryofEver
Speaking of non-canon children: shorty after meeting the new boss (same as the old boss), King Vegeta is appalled to find Broly in the elite capsule chamber. Who let this kid into the main continuity?!
King Vegeta’s concern is that Broly might outstrip his own son, beating him to the punch in the race to become the legendary Super Saiyan. After all, there’s only one of those per millennium. They don’t hand them out in bargain sales!

Age 733: on Earth, a new king takes the throne as world ruler. We all know him as a friendly dog man, but at the time he was apparently still hairless. Around this same time, Briefs and Bikini have their second child, Tights’ younger sister Bulma. #HistoryofEver ImageImage
DB ep.113 shows the current world king celebrating his 20th anniversary. According to the game DBZ: Kakarot, he became a dog man via the drug Animorphalin around when Bulma was 10, meaning he was still a human-type for the first decade of his reign. ImageImage
Curiously, DBZ ep.173 shows the walls of the king’s palace adorned with pictures of other dog men. Previously we might have assumed he came from a long line of dog kings, but DBZ: Kakarot would seem to put the kibosh on that. Image

Age 732: with the Tsufruian war concluded (unless that never happened) and his alliance with Freeza and/or Cold forged, King Vegeta III finds himself a queen and quickly produces an heir: Vegeta IV, the prince of the Saiyans. #HistoryofEver
Young Prince Vegeta lives an idyllic childhood playing with Saibaimen, pulling Nappa’s hair out, and exterminating the odd civilization. His few unpleasant memories from this period, long repressed, concern the occasional visits by one of his father’s acquaintances...
On another occasion (or an alternate version of the same occasion, or whatever), Beerus sent King Vegeta out on a fetch quest, but naturally it didn’t end well

The roughs are out for DBS ch.71: “Heeta’s Plan”. Whis asks Goku the biggest difference between him and the angels. “A halo?” No, Whis says it’s how angels are always in the Ultra Instinct state. Goku shouldn’t need to transform to do it. dragonball.news/news/i21041400…
Whis says if Goku’s heart/mind were stable, his body could move on its own regardless of his form. If Goku can manage UI in his regular state, it’ll take care of his stamina problem. Then he can save the transformed version of UI as a trump card.
Whis tells Goku and Vegeta that when training, their rivals are themselves; they should always strive to outdo their previous selves. He also mentions that something has happened. Goku: “Is it a new strong enemy?” But Whis still isn’t sure if it’s an “enemy” or not...
