HOW TO BULK PROPERLY

Let me preface,

Bulking CAN and DOES work, but only IF the right conditions are met

1) You need to be LEAN when you start. 8-10% bodyfat range

2) You need to bulk SLOWLY. Gaining 1lb a week. 4lbs a month.

3) You stop bulking once you get to the Mid Teens of bodyfat percentage. 15-17% bodyfat

4) You keep your weight in a holding pattern for a LONG TIME. 6 months minumum, up to 1-2 years even if you are SERIOUS about muscle gain

5) You MUST prioritize progressive Overload. You need to get as STRONG AS POSSIBLE at your heavier weight

6) After you have done the above, THEN you begin to "cut" and reach a leaner weight, with added muscle tissue and increased strength levels

"What do I read about?"

That this question is asked is telling

The American mind is Epistemologically bankrupt

"To think" is to follow a top down narrative given by someone else.

Everything must be reduced to topical subjects, bullet points, top 10 lists, listicles
"Thoughts?" is considered a question that can be asked.

Not how what when where why, just "thoughts".

Give me "thoughts".
Maybe its because my audience has gradually begin to skew younger, or because I have gotten older, but I continuously receive questions now in which the person asking, usually a young man, he does not KNOW how to ask a question.

The biggest physical decline isn’t losing strength or muscle, or even speed

It’s the slower RECOVERY

This usually happens around 40-45

Workouts that would left you sore for a day, suddenly it’s 3 days and you feel it in your joints more than ever
I make this point often, you must be Intelligent with your training

meaning what exactly?

Meaning it becomes imperative that your exercise selection, your overall training volume, and your overall workouts, everything has a clear purpose
Don’t do exercises that grind your joints

Don’t be a gym warrior and do DUMB workouts to burn yourself out

Training more isn’t automatically better

so long as you can continue training as hard as you can, with appropriate recovery, you’re not going to feel the decline
