The recently passed Georgia voter suppression law — SB 202 — should not be taken lightly. Given what we just witnessed in the 2020 election, we must be aware of the GOP’s willingness to overturn results they deem “fake”. Here’s how this bill gives them power to do just that: 1/

The bill takes shifts election oversight from the Sec. of State to a “bipartisan” board. It gives power to the GOP-controlled legislature to appoint a majority of those board’s members. They could then decide which votes they think are “real” and which are “fake”. 2/

In a close race like the one we just witnessed, it will be entirely up to them to decide what votes to count and what votes not to count. Watch Maddow break it down:
