So here is the story about the first day of 18-44 Yr Vaccination at #Pune
Pune District announced 20000 doses recieved
Only handful centers opened up for 18+
Some 3 or 4 of 100 each.
Booked slot at Maan PHC for 3-4pm today. Went to check vacc are they giving Cv or Cs. 1/n
100 slots only via #CowinApp as per rules. At 11.30 am see a crowd there filling forms.
Vaccn starts at 2pm - 6pm
Person in charge at center tells me 100 doses will be split amongst booked slots and walk ins. As village people do not know how to use CoWin.
2/n
Asked to come at 2 pm and stand in que. I said my slot is at 3. The inharge says 50 doses to registered ppl and 50 to walk ins.
Can someone explain how are walk ins being allowed of doses allocated 4 18+? That means out of 100 who have booked via CoWin, only 50 will get dose. 3/n
If you wanted to allow walk-ins just remove this registration through CoWin. Why this sham?
Asking people to cue in lines when cases numbers are on an all time high.
Do you expect us to book slots and stand in line everyday and be turned back due to mismanagement

Let me make it clear. I don't have a prob with walk ins, however if you promise 100 doses to regd folks through CoWin then you better give those 100. Why turn 50 regd back. Who changed these rules. Why aren't rules followed? Is it on the whims and fancies of local authorities?
And here if you want to check if I do have an appointment
I'm sitting and contemplating now whether to go at 2pm and stand in que amongst hundreds and put myself and and my family at risk without any social Distancing when this could have been managed with 25 regd ppl per hour from 2-6pm.
Just a shame and utter mismanagement.
Update : shortly
Things have improved. At center. Will update in 30 mins
For now social Distancing is being followed. More on this soon
So something seemed to have changed on the ground since I reached the Center at 2.20pm. Less crowd. Authorities then said that who ever has registered with a slot booked will only be vaccinated. This was way diff from morning. Who ever made that call kudos to you. And thank you.
Also there was initial chaos but special mention to the Rep Suraj Kamble who took care of the situation and ensured order and social distance. Finally things went as planned. Most of the 100 regd got vaccines including me and others. This could although be managed better.
With 25 only who should be allowed every hour as per slots. Remember, speak up if u see things go wrong. Demand accountability. Only then things can be fixed. Do not stay silent.
Thank you to the medical staff there. They were efficient.
Finally got teh 1st dose of CS. @IAS_Rubal

So hearing a lot of buzz on boycotting Chinese products. May be going local and supporting local business may definitely help boost to some extent the Indian economy however let's look at how deep China is embedded into Indian system.
1/n
Starting with Chinese investment into Indian businesses include Big Basket, Byju’s, Delhivery, Dream 11, Flipkart, Hike, MakeMyTrip, Ola, Oyo, Paytm, Paytm Mall, PolicyBazzar, Quikr, Rivigo, Snapdeal, Swiggy, Uddan, Zomato are some where Chinese companies hold stake. 2/n
Coming to the above companies, will you boycott these companies too? Due to boycott, these companies hv to shutdown, imagine the job losses of Indian employees.. Now Will you ask these companies buy back their stake from Chinese investors?
