Just finished a very intense 3 day @CFREF_APOGEE review of @Brains_CAN. So many positive and interesting discussions, and really good food for thought going forward. The present and future of #neuroscience@WesternU looks very bright to me.
The best part for me was seeing our @BrainsCAN@WesternU community engaging so enthusiastically in the process and really doing the business to show off the fantastic work going on here.
We have been working under extremely challenging conditions for over a year. We're all exhausted. Doing a review over webex is hard. But the brilliance and enthusiasm of our community shone through very clearly.
I am incredibly grateful to everyone who participated, directly and indirectly. This includes our researchers at all levels, whose scientific work is the foundation of @Brains_CAN.
Along with the many people who put so much time and energy into running or adjudicating our research and innovation cores and our programs, including scientists here @WesternU, our national and international partners, and our crack @Brains_CAN support team.
And can't forget Reggie, who made sure that he attended all sessions and is now recovering with his cow.
I wish we could have marked this milestone @uwogradclub last night; first round is on me as soon as it is safe to do so. Possibly featuring BAM! (I have an in with the drummer), who I hear have something new ready to be unveiled soon! @Timothy_Bussey@Comadork
