A major concern of mine is the way Jews do not fit in to America's dominant model of discourse on race. Few things can make US Jews so clearly 'otherized' than the erasure that comes with being told your participation is determined by the shade of your skin tone.

Went to pick up a challah someone left for us in their carport and when I got to it a crow was eating it after eating through the bag. Is there any interpretation of that scene that doesn't end in like the earth opening up and swallowing me?

Pre-firing her for teen tweets she apologized for several times is garbage, but doing it now as reporters are connecting it to a racist murder spree in Atlanta is beyond tactless. Infuriating to watch coward employers reinforce twitter's 'people are disposable' attitude.
Look at this crap. NYT *knows how old the tweets are*. Disgusting to do this to McCammond.
2011: teenaged Alexi makes joke about "Asian eyes" (for which she'd apologize repeatedly).

2021--TEN YEARS LATER--NY Times writes this sentence: "The scrutiny of her tweets has come at a time of heightened concern about violence and harassment directed against Asian-Americans."

My sister made sure the shul auditorium was decorated appropriately so we were the only bris that looked like a Lucky Charms product launch. Happy Green Seventeen!
The kid waited a week past his due date and came out on St. Patrick's Day, with red hair, and corned beef and cabbage is legit his favorite meal. Bethany hadn't even had it until someone made it for us as a baby meal.

What if I told you the allegations of fraud and cover-up regarding the governor's nursing home deaths were not only confirmed but admitted by Cuomo and his team?
How would we confirm the women's allegations, would that A1 photo in the NY Times be good enough? No? Oh I see.
We expect so little of our leaders and that's exactly what we get.
