It's a long time since Labour won their last election, but it's a long time since the Tories won one as well.
If you think about it in the right way.

Cameron didn't win a majority in 2010. Won a small majority in 2015, which Theresa May then lost in 2017. Johnson won a majority of 80 in 2019, the first substantial majority the Tories had won since 1987

The Tories keep finding themselves in government, but every time they do it proves chaotic.
In 1992 Major won a small majority, which Tony Blair then swept away.

But look at the Tories since Tony Blair. Cameron went into coalition with the Lib Dems, so the Tories were kept under control.
But as soon as the Tories won a majority of their own, everything went to shit.

2015 was the first majority the Tories had won since 1992. Upon that majority they held a referendum which they lost, and then they went nuts.

Cameron didn't stick around to take responsibility, he just fucked off out the door.
Theresa May came in, took one look at Cameron's pitiful majority and decided to hold another election, which she promptly lost.

Again the Tories found a coalition party with the DUP and trundled on for another two years until they hit a dead end, and may resigned.
Then Johnson took over and turned the Tories into an English nationalist party.

It's perfectly true that Johnson won a majority of 80. But NOT the Conservative Party.
What used to be the Conservative party stopped winning elections in the 1990s and failed to win another ever since.

What Johnson did was turn the Conservative party into something else. They kept the name and the logo, but that's not the Conservative Party any more.
That is an English nationalist party.

It is not the Conservative Party as you understood it that won an 80 seat majority. It is a rough and slouching beast that has taken over the Conservative name.

Neither Labour nor the Conservative party we knew is capable of winning English elections.
The only thing that has won a solid majority in the last decade is English nationalism.

But if we're just talking about the Conservative party, the only solid majority they in particular have won since 1987 has been with English nationalism.

The Tories don't have a history of winning. They have a thirty year history of losing, and then turned themselves into an English nationalist party.

There is nothing left of the Conservative party but the name. It has been taken over by something far more uglier and stupid
