Are we continuing to test whether the vaccines remain effective? 34 doctors died in April from the #Covid19 second wave. Doctors were supposed to be vaccinated and if infected were supposed to get only "mild" symptoms. This defies statistics no? newindianexpress.com/nation/2021/ap…
IMA was supposed to ascertain if they were vaccinated, but there seems to be sannata on the subject since.

There were a few other posts I saw about people who had been vaccinated dying. (as opposed to dying after second dose of vaccine - which are also there, but different)
Are we testing to see if vaccinations are effective against second wave/variants/whatever?
Father and son, both doctors, die of Covid in Maharashtra; mother serious toi.in/ApD-Kb22/a24gk

they apparently "don't know" if they were vaccinated, like 34 doctors dead in April - "doesn't know" were vaccinated or not.

What is the point of the vaccination tech mafia then?
Isn't the whole point of the money poured down the tech mafia throats to track vaccinations? So what does it mean if doctors die of covid and they "don't know" if the doctors were vaccinated or not, in spite of them supposed to be the first to be vaccinated?

No door-to-door policy for Covid-19 vaccines as following current protocol would be difficult: Centre toi.in/bGuu0Z2/a24gk

And superspreader events at vaccination centers are easy? Why can't vaccination teams be prepared for AEFI?
The "difficult" I assume, is because of having to wait for half an hour after vaccination, but with door to door vaccinations, the team would be around vaccinating others, no different than if it happened at a center.

How is "current protocol" good with crowds like BKC?
Remember, if you go to a vaccination center and get a vaccine AND infection:

Covid takes 2+ days to develop infection.

Vaccination takes 2+ weeks to develop weak immunity, 2+ weeks after 2nd jab tfor strong immunity which is also not a guarantee.

Was about to sleep after the Twitter space. Instead got into conversation with a distraught Covid volunteer. Mostly said nothing. Listened as words like "dystopia" "genocide" "crushed between Modi govt and pandemic" were used.

I offered "forced to witness unimaginable tragedy"
She described some volunteers who had lost family members jumping right back to help others without taking any time off. "We are not able to take time off. If we stop for any reason, we will collapse and go mad. We need a win before stopping or it is unbearable." (paraphrased)
The kind of mental pressure volunteers operate under is beyond comprehension. There are no words of support to offer. All you can do is listen and shut up and WITNESS that this is happening. They are going through this. Someone sees their pain and the fight they are putting up.

That is ok. Not everyone can be elegant. I got enough skills for us both. You just focus on exposing BJP and let me worry about showcasing it.
Yes. That is what I meant. Continue. It helps people understand what your focus is, and decide if they like it. :)

You are a simple troll who doesn't matter, but it helps bring down BJP.
Is that what BJP are telling you these days? That they are taking risks and the public is risk free? I think we should publish this on huge hoardings.

You, sir are indeed doing a service to the country by selflessly working to free it from BJP

Saw a Twitter conversation that I can't locate again about India's limited capacity to vaccinate people quickly.

I don't think the West realizes India's GIGANTIC capacity to vaccinate. Our size may be baffling, but vaccines reach efficiently.

The problem is lack of supply.
Whether for good or bad, but the tendency of Indian people to do as told also means that they will queue up for vaccines without any major reluctance.

We are sheep used to doing as told, including walking to our own slaughter when govt kills our currency. Vaccines is no big deal
India's ability to vaccinate is not even remotely in question. It is the actual vaccines that are missing.

Just because I saw that nasty @Tejasvi_Surya video, sharing my perception of Muslims.

I studied in a convent school, had Muslim friends and credit to school that I learned Muslims were different.

This was a problem in another way. I never realized they were vulnerable either.
@Tejasvi_Surya The 91 riots happened and all that exciting Hindu-Muslim news and I was disappointed no drama in our society (I was an idiot) except Muslim friends not coming out to play. Didn't make the connection - kids.

We yelled under their window trolling aunty to send our friend out, etc.
@Tejasvi_Surya In hindsight, I realized we must have freaked aunty out with a bunch of Hindu kids yelling under her window asking for obviously Muslim named kids to come out. But they knew us and knew our practice of protesting to free our friends imprisoned by parents :p

Someone who tested positive has SpO2 at 96% and is doing what he should and staying home and taking care and etc.

Me with my OCD told him to monitor and to not be home alone (lives alone) and to ask someone to check in on him for SpO2.

He thinks not necessary.

Me nagging.
Nothing is said in the health guidelines for this.

But I think if your SpO2 has dropped at all - even a little - it could drop more. Staying home is okay, but someone should be there to monitor in case further drop in SpO2 you lose consciousness or something.

My two cents.
It may not drop further and you may recover - yay!

But if it has dropped, there is no guarantee that it will not drop more. Lack of oxygen can cause unconsciousness/breathlessness so you can't call for help easily.

Don't be alone at home. My non-medical but practical opinion.
