Secretary of State Anthony Blinken did a good job in Kyiv showing support to the Ukrainian people who are under attack from Russia. He distanced the U.S. from the corruption of the Zelenskyy administration by meeting with former President Poroshenko and Metropolitan Epiphanius.
The U.S. has a real problem of how to engage with the Ukrainian government as long as the TV clown President, Zelenskyy, is guided by Russian agent Andriy Yermak. The only solution is a multi-tier, in-depth approach – for example, direct contact with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Blinken sent very clear signals of the Biden administration approach to Ukraine. The U.S. will strongly support Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of Russian aggression. But no invitation was extended to Zelenskyy for him to visit the White House.
Poroshenko was able to communicate comfortably with Blinken in English. Zelenskyy wasn't. Zelenskyy expressed surprise that Blinken and his team were so well-briefed. In fact, the Biden admin has a better understanding of Russian aggression against Ukraine than Zelenskyy does.
