I get mindfucked by the #covid19 statistics, every time I think of them.

Before the pandemic, our idea of a national tragedy was 40 people dying in train accidents. A hundred times that are dying on a daily basis. And this is UNDERreporting.

Where is our outrage on mishandling?

How is it that politics is able to go on as usual with bhakts defending, opponents and dissenters criticizing and everything as normal?

We are paying for absolute crap handling of first wave, unpreparedness for second wave with LIVES LOST on a daily basis.

Tamashas like thali bajao, unchecked migrant labour fleeing to villages taking infections along, the dead among them in trying to reach villages walking insane distances and dying in the process.

We have FORGOTTEN the first wave and how govt let it spread and kill.

We still remember the election rallies and Kumbh and unpreparedness in spite of abundant warning. Hospitals taking to Twitter to plead for oxygen isn't so long ago.

How is it that the govt is still untroubled and plans new scams to manipulate opinion?

The vaccine mishandling in itself is a huge deal. But there is also no tracking of data, no release of crucial data that could enable scientists to protect us better in spite of pleas. No tracking of variants so no testing of vaccines against them. People dying after vaccination!

Any of these individually would be enough for calls to accountability. Yet govt refuses to account for its actions and spins propaganda to save its own ass and we seem to accept it and expect no better.

Utter psychopaths in power and spineless media.
