Minister Elliot blatantly lied earlier this week when she said there is no final draft of the Critical Care Triage protocol. Media personnel have seen it. Doctors have already received iterations of it & have been forced to use it (THREAD) 1/7 #onpoli#triageprotocol@fordnation
The provincial government has had over a year to implement solutions that would prevent the need or use of the protocol. Instead of increasing social assistance rates or instituting a moratorium on eviction, Ford made it impossible for disabled people to stay safe at home 2/7
Disabled people have filled ICU units across the GTA and that a majority of them are racialized and disabled, folks who were essential workers. Disabled people in critical care are being put in helicopters and sent to other cities without consent of their friends and family. 3/7
