#StopAsianHate? It’s our duty to dispel myth and challenge propaganda that aims to scapegoat Black people as racist hate-crime-merchants/anti-Asian. There has been some egregious anti-Black racism from Asians in modern history. A thread:

9. When the pandemic first started—Black people were pouring their hearts out for Asians and tripping over themselves to show “solidarity.” Meanwhile in China, Black people were discriminated against, kicked out of homes, and blamed for covid. hrw.org/news/2020/05/0…
10. Tou Thao stood by as his partner, Derek Chauvin, knelt on the neck of George Floyd and murdered him on camera. Tou has a history of police brutality against Black people—even once knocking out the teeth of a handcuffed man. google.com/amp/s/amp.theg…
