"The Arizona Senate is held up to ridicule in every corner of the globe."
"We cannot give you a password that we do not possess any more than we can give you the formula for Coca Cola."
"People's tax dollars are real, your 'auditors' are not."
"You are using purple lights and spinning tables. You are hunting for bamboo."
Senate President @FannKfann says she will respond tomorrow at a meeting they invited county officials to - the meeting that the county officials say they will not attend.
I would not necessarily say they "sent their regrets" like @brahmresnik said.

If you want to hear straight from Maricopa County officials their explanation for why the Senate's election audit contractors couldn't find those "deleted files" (which they have explained weren't deleted) ... listen here, starts at 1 pm maricopa.gov/324/Board-of-S…
Maricopa Supervisor Chairman Jack Sellers starts the meeting off with some words for the Arizona Senate.
Calls the audit "a grift disguised as an audit."
"It's time to be done with this craziness," he says.
Maricopa County Recorder @stephen_richer explains that the auditors' concerns amount to a misunderstanding of elections generally and misunderstanding of the county's processes.
- Ballots were all tracked properly
- 'Missing' files weren't deleted
❓What election files did the county delete
❓Did the auditors use a WiFi router
❓Will Dominion give admin access to its machines
❓Will supervisors meet with senators
I've stayed relatively quiet as various statements and claims have been made in the last 24 hours because I don't want to spread misinformation.
Hoping we get some more info with documents to back it up very soon.
The 2 main questions on my mind these days:
- Why did the SOS settle in court if so many questions remain
- Will the county supervisors provide info willingly or will this go back to another subpoena/court fight
One recruiter is a retired police officer who works as an investigator for an extremist right-wing group that warns of "the growing threat of the Marxist and the Islamic movement in America."
Another person involved in recruitment used her brief stint as the county Republican Party chairwoman to try to "get Trump back in office" by protesting the results of one of the county's prior audits. That's Linda, mentioned here.
