We stand with the Palestinian people against settler-colonization. We stand against all forms of colonialism and systematic repression by militaries and institutions.

A thread:

To be clear, in response to some feedback we've received from previously shared posts, we stand against antisemitism and all forms of discrimination.
We know that in certain countries the BDS movement may have been co-opted or taken away from its intended purpose.

But as we are based in many countries across the world, we primarily listen to the colonized and oppressed people (in this case, Palestinians especially) on the non-violent civil disobedience actions that they are calling on the rest of the world to do.

The myth of overpopulation as the reason for the climate crisis is the belief that there are more people than the planet is able to sustain.
This narrative is used by many famous western environmentalists. Blaming less wealthy people and regions for climate change. 🧵 (1/4)

The most affected people & areas (MAPA) are also the least responsible – the ones already suffering & fighting the hardest under climate change. We want to make it clear:

Overpopulation as the cause of the climate crisis is a myth & deeply entangled with racism &eugenics. (2/4)

There are enough resources for everyone. The issue is not scarcity, the issue is artificial scarcity under the current economic system. We can solve that problem with system change. (3/4)

On Wednesday, December 11th, over 300 climate activists, including many young climate strikers from around the world, were kicked out of COP25 in Madrid after protesting for women’s and indigenous people’s rights and calling for ambitious actions from rich countries. /2

The voices of millions of people are silenced at the climate change conference in Madrid. While civil society was kicked out from the COP25, fossil fuel lobbyists remained inside. This cannot be tolerated! /3
