I had booked a vacation with a hotel, straight before the pandemic hit. All the countries shut their borders, airplanes wouldn’t fly, insurance wouldn’t cover and not to mention the *moral* aspect of not travelling. I emailed them and they said they couldn’t refund me which was

fine. I asked them if we could save it for a later time. They said it’s fine. I gave some proposals but right before the dates, borders were shut again, Spain was in a crisis etc

And she replies: “borders were closed but hotels were open” ??????

as a reason to not being able to keep the reservation and just book it once everyone is vaccinated.
