As part of the initiative "#everynamecounts – Local Remembrance" we would like to introduce you to the Förderverein “Mahn- und Gedenkstätte Walpersberg” e.V. (Walpersberg Memorial Association), our partner for tomorrow’s takeover. @OnlineRemember

In mid-April 1944 the Thuringia Gauleiter Fritz Sauckel gave the order to construct near #Kahla a massive underground production site, called the “#REIMAHG”. Between April 1944 and March 1945, more than 12.000 people from all over occupied Europe, were deported to Kahla.

The Förderverein “Mahn- und #Gedenkstätte #Walpersberg” e.V. @OnlineRemember was created in 2003. The main focus of the initiative is the #history of those who were there as forced labourer.
