How to Get Rich.

Let's be honest, almost everyone wants to be rich (or richer).

There's no shame in wanting that.

In fact, Islam urges you to be rich! That's why Allah tells you to pay zakat.

I need 50 RT.

Then I will share how I got to 6 Digits in 1 year during MCO 1.0.
I'm not going to add my bank balance here because that would be stupid.

So you're going to have blind faith in me.

That's ok, I'm not going to fool you into stupid things.

In fact, most of what I'll be sharing is downright BORING.

Let's go.
1/ Write the Target

How much do we want to have in our savings?

Write it down.

Now don't be silly to write RM1mil if we've never seen 100k. Or 100k, if we've never seen 10k.

Write a believable number.

Stick on our wall. Stare at it EVERY DAY.
2/ People Need Target

Something magical about human beings is when given believable goals, we'll try to achieve them subconsciously.

Our brain will rewire neurons to meet the goal.

'Eleh poyo'.. F*ck that voice.

You do you.

Stick on the wall.
3/ Master what You Master.

Good at design? Master it.
Good at teaching? Master it.
Good at math? Master it.
Good with guitar? Master it.

People will pay a premium to specialists.

Here's more about skills.

4/ By mastering what we're good at, we teach ourselves

a. Patience
b. Boredom is my friend
c. To be humble
d. Know our purpose on earth
e. To be a better human (soft skills)

and escape 'Shiny New Object', and stop chasing shadows that move as the spotlight changes.
5/ Stoic - Only Control What We Can.

Abandon those we can't control.

Can we control bitcoin? No. Drop.
Can we control stocks? No. Drop.
Can we control people? Maybe. KIV.
Can we control our time? Yes.

Plan our time. Master our skills.
6/ Money is Not the Only Currency

Time & Effort are currencies.

It's the most expensive currency we have.

We can recoup our loss (money), lost time, Einstein didn't live long enough to build a time machine.

Time ≠ Money ..

Time > Money
7/ Don't Be Generous with Our Time.

Successful people learn to say No.

Stop giving our time to people who don't appreciate them. They are time VAMPIRES, they suck.

Stop debating stupid things.

Stop finding the best deal.

Stop binge-watching TV series and drama.
8/ Invest in Ourselves.

"The best time to plant a tree is 10 years ago, the second-best time is now."

Our new currency is Time & Effort.

Don't throw our new currency into the unknown.

Like bitcoin, I don't give a damn (or dime).
9/ A lot of the above is focusing on ourselves because

We are our worst enemy. - Naval Ravikant.

Start with fixing ourselves and pick up a compounding habit,

READ,
THINK,
WRITE.

It's the most boring thing to do
and BORING IS GOOD..

theguardian.com/global/2020/ma…
10/ You probably expect me to say something like ...

Do business.
Invest in stocks.
Sell products.
Teach stuff.

I won't because that's a pitiful advice.

What got me here today, wasn't what I did yesterday.
It's 5 years back. I do 1% better every day (maybe some days).
11/ Do the Long Term

Short Term is Our Enemy,
Long Term is Our Friend.

If we don't see ourselves doing it for the next 10 years, then don't do it.
12/ How do we spend?

Within our means.

I don't change my phone every year.
I don't spend on wagyu.
I don't spend to look cool.

More importantly,
I don't spend to impress other people.

I spent on things I use daily,
which buys my time back.
13/ If You are Not Happy with 1k

You'll never be happier even if you have 10k, 100k, 1m.

Money can't buy us happiness, but
money can buy options.

Options give us freedom of choice.
14/ So rewire our brain,

Money is not (as) important.

Being happy is.

Be comfortable in our own skin.
Master Our Skills.
Master Our Minds.
Master Ourselves.

When we appreciate ourselves,
people will see our genius.
15/ Finally, How Do We Get Rich?

SLOOOOOOWLY ..

(Noticed, I didn't put how quick I got to 100k?)

Revisit every now and then.

I don't have a product or course to sell. I only wanted your friendship, that's good enough for me.

Apa Beza "Reply" dan "Quote Tweet"?

Korang pernah confuse tak benda macam ni?

Although ada explanation yg panjang gile pasal 2 ni. Jawapan saya bagi ni lebih mudah.

Follow thread.
1/ Tweet is the Core.

2/ Reply is the Fringe

Terima kasih.

Baik kita Mulakan.

1/ Faham Kedai Makan Jenis Apa.

Routine atau Celebratory?

Makan hari-hari atau Special Event sahaja?

2-2 ni attract mindset customer segment berbeza.

Saya assume kedai ini routine, jual goreng2.
2/ Digital Marketing.

Tak perlu ada website. Tapi kita perlukan RUMAH digital.

Supaya apa2 activity posting kita ada tempat pengakhir dia. Boleh jadi FB page, IG page .. yg saya paling suka, Google Places (sebab rating).

Daftar sini dulu business.google.com

Semalam @TheAleem ada share pasal T-Shape.

Maka saya ambil peluang untuk update diri sendiri, cari apa yg tak pandai dan pandai.

Bila kita kenal diri sendiri, lebih mudah kita utk focus apa yg kita nak specialized.

Sebelum tu, T-Shape Knowledge ni natang apa?
1/ Tujuan T-Shape

"Jack of all trades, master of none".

Bila semua benda nak master, end-up semua benda tak tercapai. T shape ini bagi memastikan kita pilih pengkhususan yg paling sesuai.

Semua benda boleh buat, tapi productive nya 1 benda.
2/ Melintang.

Bila tahu banyak benda, dan tak betul2 master, kita jadi Generalist.

Semua ambil tahu, semua boleh buat.

Generalist ni ramai.

3 Things that we contiously need to refine to win people's ..

1. Attention
2. Time
3. Cooperation Image
1/ Attention

People are like walking zombies, scrolling through social media feeds. We need to give them a "slap in the face" to get noticed.

A slice of reality.

Something really close to them.

Something they really care about.
2/ Time

When we have their attention, we can command their time.

Don't rush in for the sale or to win our point of view.

Instead, take our time to understand them. Where are they coming from, how can we help.

With enough time, we can convince anyone.

Most B2B Websites Copywriting are Boring and Dull.
And they hide behind pretty pictures while their content (text) remains boring.

I spend 6 years studying how Tech giant B2B write in their website (and still learning)

Here’s what I observed.
B2B is Complex. There are many layers to peel.

The people are complex and have different worldly views.

Every department has different sets of problems and aspirations.

e.g. What works for the sales team, may not work for the procurement team.
1/ They don’t focus on me or you, instead of us.

Me - Everything about the organization & products

You - About customer problems and aspirations.

US - About what we can do together.

B2B engagement relies on cooperation from customers/ clients.

You are Expensive!

Sales Objection:

How do you reply when people say you are expensive?

What is the comeback line?

How can we soften the blow?

How to win the sales for a service-based business.

👇🏼👇🏼
My price is usually 50~200% of the market value compared to other Web Designer.

- No better design than anyone else
- Very small team
- Same technical knowledge
- Smaller Scope, a shorter timeline

But we win almost 85% of the time.
What I'm about to share is a time tested method.

- It's psychological
- It's human to human
- It's philosophical
- It's dead simple

We've been doing this for more than 3 years.
It becomes second nature.

Give it a shot.
