How to hack peoples' brains and make them read your writing.

3 easy tips you can start using today.

-THREAD-
1. Create "Open Loops"

Open loops are gaps in stories that our brains want to fill.

Think of cliffhangers in your favourite show that make you watch the next episode.
"After today, the world will never be the same..."

"The 1 reason why your business is failing..."

Both sentences create tension.

You're forced to continue reading if you want to relieve it.

Use open loops in your headlines and you're guaranteed to engage more readers.
2. Make it about them

Our brains have evolved to survive.

Because of this, we're always scanning for how things will affect us.
No one cares about a nutrition plan.

They care about how energetic they're going to feel from it.

No cares about jewelry.

They care about the confidence they'll gain from wearing it.

Don't write about _____.

Write about how _____ affects people.
3. Write like a 5th grader

The brain is lazy.

Effort is energy and we've evolved to save it.

So make it easy:

• Use simple words
• Use short sentences

The more effort it takes to read, the less readers you'll have.
Use services like Hemingway and Grammarly.

You'll be aware when you:

• Make spelling errors
• Use complicated wording
• Write overly long sentences

Over time, you'll learn how to communicate better.
To Summarize:

1) Create open loops
2) Make it about them
3) Write like a 5th grader

5 Viruses Plaguing Your Mind.

The deadliest pandemic is the one nobody's talking about.

-THREAD-
1. Constant Motivational Content

You're a junkie waiting for your next fix.

"Just one more video, then I'll start..." you tell yourself.

Reliant on YouTube dopamine dealers to get anything done.

But you never do.

The only rehab is discipline.
2. Self Deprecating Memes

It's become a contest of who's the most:

• Broke
• Stupid
• Anxious
• Depressed

You think you're joking but your subconscious thinks otherwise.

The brain needs consistency.

It manifests the identity you give it.

8 tips for getting into Deep Work

Increase your productivity by over 82%

*THREAD*
1. Schedule your sessions.

On average, it takes 20-30 minutes to get into a flow state.

Take advantage of this and block out a 1-3 hour period in your calendar.

Build a routine around the same time everyday.

This will develop the habit and make it 10x easier.
2. Focus on one thing.

Each session should have 1 big goal.

Break that goal into smaller tasks.

Write it on a sticky note and keep it near you.

This will remind you what is important and what is noise.

10 harsh truths "Nice People" need to hear.

Written by a recovering nice guy.

*Thread*
Never change your mind to please someone.

You may say you agree,

But your body and tone will do all the talking.

People will sense your inauthenticity.

They'll view you as weak.
Nice does not equal virtuous.

A lot of people are "Nice" because they don't have the power to be anything else.

True virtue is possessing the strength to kill but choosing to be kind.
