Anyway, AOC does not get to complain about what happened to her if she refuses to vote to prevent it from happening to someone else. This will almost certainly happen again. It was shockingly easy. We need to beef up capital security. This shouldn’t be political. The end.
People all over this thread conflating capitol police with regular police and capitol police with the national guard/military responding to protest. Do you guys seriously not get capitol police are just the building and congress’s security guards?
Think of the capitol police like secret service for congress. That’s basically their function. They protect congress members and their workplace, our capitol. This is really not something that should be partisan yet evrey republican and the 6 “justice” Dems voted against it
