Alright, my favorite Twitter trend of all time. twitter.com/search?q=Emasc…
Ted Cruz spends all his time trying to stop Russia building a pipeline to Germany and criticizing Biden for not doing more to stop it and they call him a Russia propagandist.

He of course deserves it.
I'm enjoying this too much.

Woke resistance discovering its inner patriot and love of toxic masculinity against Ted Cruz.
Like if Ted Cruz actually wasn't so emasculated, he'd criticize women in the military and I'd defend him as at least having said something brave. But he would never do that, because these guys cower to PC while criticizing it.
Love everything about this story, but mostly that it involves Ted Cruz repeatedly humiliating himself.

“I just said the military was emasculated, it wasn’t an insult!” Maybe not to Ted Cruz.
Now #KremlinCruz is trending. We've got the collision of the two stupidest, most cringe aspects of American politics, Russiagate and Ted Cruz. Boston Grandpa is on it.
Please keep going. Ted Cruz trying to be very online guy who says look how weak we are, gets roped into a Russiagate scandal. They're using the same "tie your opponents to foreigners" thing he specializes in.
Ted Cruz so mad at everyone talking about how emasculated he is for letting Trump make fun of his wife that he’s now calling for the lesbians he made fun of in the military to go to war against Russia.
Trump misspelled his opponents names and called them fat. Cruz does long threads on how "Akshually I'm tough on Putin" and ignores criticism of how he still loves Trump after saying his wife was ugly. Not the same!
washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/…
Hey Ted, you forgot to call Putin racist and sexist too. Or do you only pull out the real big guns for Hamas?

A lot here about the disaster that has befallen Philadelphia after electing a progressive DA. Murder rate in 2021 on pace to end up twice as high as in 2019. Demonstration of what happens when false theories from activism and academia make it into power. outsidevoices.substack.com/p/mounting-vio…
Krasner let out a sex offender who killed and deep fried a woman. A man arrested for multiple robberies and carjackings killed a Temple graduate after getting out on a lower bail.
“Krasner hasn’t discerned the difference between non-violent offenders and armed and dangerous criminals. Under the progressive policies of the D.A. that drug dealers refer to as ‘Uncle Larry,’ every criminal gets a break.”

Just saw the UFO story on 60 Minutes. Thread of skeptical questions. First, there are a lot more commercial aircraft, satellites, etc. than there are American military pilots. Is there a good reason why the military seems to see all the UFOs? 1/n
The UFOs seem to defy the laws of physics as we understand them, moving in all kinds of strange directions at absurd speeds. Would the aliens be so technologically advanced they could do these things, fly those vehicles across space, but not find a way to avoid being sighted? 2/n
It’s strange to see people in the government speculate it could be Chinese or Russian technology, and they say we need to study it for that reason. Why does the government believe that’s plausible? If those countries are that advanced, shouldn’t we just submit to them? 3/n

So used to be that if there was a gas shortage, prices would rise.

Wondering if we’re too stupid to let that happen now, like when NYC went after price gouging during COVID when prices needed to rise. We’d see demonization of gas stations, etc. Wouldn’t be surprised.
Looks like it’s happening, war on price gouging. The simplest stuff we learned decades ago has been forgotten, everything is democratized, which means run by the most hysterical voices on Twitter. Nice demonstration of how decline works in real time.
Coming from the top, encouraging citizens to become Cheka officers reporting the price system at work.

Wokeness is a fanatical faith that can’t be beat with nothing, i.e. going to back to liberalism 5 years ago or “common good” weirdness. The transcendent experience of parenthood as the center of a political and social ideology can do it, consistent with religion and science.
Nationalism is weak. That's why you need laws on migrants and tariffs, people won't sacrifice a dollar for their "nation." Historical trend has it losing to universalist ideologies: liberal internationalism, wokeness, Communism, Islamism, but they keep running into human nature
There was a slight sliver of history when from about 1789 to 1945, when technology was such that gov had a monopoly on propaganda and got people to die in large numbers for their countries without revolting (still need conscription). But that's not the norm, it was an aberration.

Damn Irish pubs.
Go to black cookouts and black churches to get to know about black womxn, a term that everyone uses there.
What did "raise the roof" ever do to this guy?

Skeptical take on the paper about fungus on Mars. Some parts of this critique are just appeals to authority, which I don’t like, but others seem more legitimate. I wonder what ⁦@robinhanson⁩ thinks. cnet.com/news/no-nasa-p…
Criticizes the guy for not publishing in peer reviewed journals, but when he does publish in one, the journalist who doesn’t like him gets it retracted. Heads I win, tails you lose?
We are told the paper used “inaccurate methodology,” but there is no explanation as to what is bad about the methodology, only insults and criticism of past work. That would’ve been a more valuable discussion than paragraph after paragraph about the prestige of different journals
