i have complained about this on here before but let me say it again: cville economic development staff wants to spend $15 million on a 306-car garage across the street from another garage which is down the block from yet another garage, none of which are ever full.

all of this to satisfy an agreement that only calls for 90 reserved spaces. it’s madness.
still waiting for folks to stumble onto the straightforward answer to “how to get more people downtown” which is “construct more housing downtown”
anyway, our elementary schools are crumbling, there are whole neighborhoods without decent sidewalks and our transit system struggles to serve the community but the priority appears to be parking on top of parking
