The area where Tzfat is located is in the territory of Naftali, as described in Sefer Shoftim (Judges). It is mentioned both by Josephus and the Jerusalem Talmud as a Jewish city during the 2nd Temple era.

Claims were made in the early 2000s that, unkowningly, hundreds of Ethiopian women had been given Depo-Provera, a contraceptive that lasts only for 2 to 3 months. So, no, that's not forced sterilization to begin with. Image
Women who were given the injection were asked by if they were able to give birth after the injection. All of them answered yes. In 2016, the State Controller did a long inquiry in the matter & found that no woman had been forced.
