Former Minister of Government of Bolivia, Owner of Florida-Based Company, and Three Others Charged in Bribery and Money Laundering Scheme justice.gov/opa/pr/former-…
“Arturo Carlos Murillo Prijic, 57, Sergio Rodrigo Mendez Mendizabal, 51, Luis Berkman, 58, Bryan Berkman, 36, and Philip Lichtenfeld, 48”
“Murillo...has a long history of far-right provocation. As a congressman, he supported a ban on abortion by once telling women that they should commit suicide by jumping from a five-story building if they wanted to terminate a pregnancy.”
Huh. Per @washingtonpost:
“He also bragged about meeting with the CIA when he traveled to Washington to meet with senior officials in the Trump administration who initially viewed Áñez’s ascent as an opportunity to improve bilateral relations that turned hostile under Morales.”
Whoops.
“Bolivian press reports indicate that the older Berkman was arrested on weapons trafficking charges in 2001, accused of heading a criminal ring that tried to smuggle military assault weapons to Paraguay. He was declared a fugitive in 2013 without having been found guilty”

Two Individuals Indicted for Money Laundering Related to Odebrecht Bribery and Fraud Scheme
“Bank Executives Charged with Conspiring to Launder Hundreds of Millions of Dollars Through U.S. Financial System” justice.gov/usao-edny/pr/t…
“indictment was unsealed charging Peter Weinzierl and Alexander Waldstein, both citizens of Austria, for their roles in a scheme to launder hundreds of millions of dollars through the US financial system on behalf of Odebrecht, a Brazil-based global construction conglomerate,
... in order to pay bribes around the world and defraud the Brazilian government. Weinzierl was arrested earlier today in the United Kingdom pursuant to a provisional arrest request from the United States. Waldstein remains at large.”
Who needs dirty money laundered?
Drug cartels. Human trafficking rings. Illegal weapons salesmen. Anyone who profits off of human suffering.
That’s who trump caters to.
This was my experience as well.
In discussing my plans/decision process to not have children, some older ladies I knew from the dog park confessed to me, privately, that they either regretted having kids at all, or did not particularly like their now-adult kids. @JillFilipovic
Interestingly, in discussing this decision with people I knew who had kids who were still under ~14, I got a whole lot of “you don’t know what you are missing, you will never know love like this, you will regret not having kids,” and many other Stockholm-syndrome-sounding cliches
Whereas, the older women I know who made a conscious decision not to have kids, all seemed rather happy with how that worked out for them, when I was making this decision.
I’m 40 & thus far, I have no regrets about not having kids. all my high school/college friends have kids...
