Modern comparisons to the atrocities committed in Nazi Germany are generally grossly exaggerated and serve to denigrate the actual horrors so many experienced during the Holocaust.
But occasionally, horrors that are comparable emerge.
Abortion is a difficult topic to discuss and examine. But there are medical experiments and practices currently being performed that require the public’s attention.
These procedures are at the level of human medical experimentation that was witnessed in Nazi Germany.
The ability to rationalize human medical experimentation by far right Evangelical Christian extremists is comparable to Nazi Germany’s Dr. Josef Mengele.
This is a provocative statement and I don’t write it without careful consideration.
Comparing the actions of Mengele to modern medical procedures is extremely egregious and disrespectful in almost every situation. Mengele was a psychopathic sadist who tortured his victims. Few have reached the level of depravity he descended to in recorded modern history.
Mengele performed inhuman experiments on children, men and women with no regard for their suffering, mental or physical. I’m not going to detail his pathological & repugnant behaviour due to its salacious nature.
But I am comparing what’s being promoted by anti abortion activists, including sympathetic medical doctors adopting experimental procedures unsupported by medical evidence.
It’s human experimentation. Comparable to Mengele level human experimentation.
The embedded article from Open Democracy chronicles the medical procedure being promoted by ultra conservative Christian extremists.
But rather than being conducted by one severely disturbed psychopathic sadist, it’s being adopted and promoted globally.
And that’s why it’s comparable.
That’s the level of depravity and sadism being promoted within the anti abortion ultra conservative community.
Long have pro choice advocates noted the inconsistency of the preferred “pro life” moniker adopted by anti choice propagandists. But this action completely negates any possibility of viewing this dangerous ideological group as promoting life. Without question.
Interfering in a chemically induced abortion mid process is human experimentation on pregnant women. And it’s being promoted by ultra far right Christian organizations globally. Including here in Canada.
That’s the level of moral corruption being adopted in far right Dominionist Christian extremists.
That’s the mindset that is being brought into mainstream politics and modern democracy.
This cannot be normalized. Society must reject this ideological belief system.
Whatever your moral inclination is towards abortion, this cannot be made an acceptable solution. Under any circumstances the administration of medicine to reverse a chemically induced abortion must be viewed as immoral and sadistic and human experimentation.
This is modern fascism and modern medical torture comparable in depravity as was seen in Auschewitz performed by Josef Mengele.
I’m tired of people stating comparisons to the Holocaust are unwarranted. This procedure is completely comparable in design and value.
It’s time we stopped burying our heads in the sand and ignoring what’s occurring globally under the guise of religious belief.
Dominionists are the modern equivalent of Nazis.
When human experimentation becomes the preferred choice to enforce the “religious” belief that a fetal life outweighs the woman’s life carrying the fetus, that line has been crossed.
It’s authoritarian to deny women access to legal medical abortion procedures.
It’s quite another level of sadistic cruelty to recommend physicians subject a woman to experimental and unapproved medical interventions that could kill her and the fetus.
But that’s exactly what’s being done right now, across the globe. Under the pretence of Christian faith.
Fascism has been mainstreamed by those who would promote this level of corruption.
20th century fascism hid its evil and criminal beliefs behind the walls of concentration camps.
21st century fascism is attempting to normalize their toxic and sadistic beliefs and values.
We CANNOT let this happen. We cannot accept this as normal medical intervention. We cannot accept these beliefs and values as valid in society.
These beliefs and values and the actions promoted by Dominionists are antithetical to human nature and morality.
If you’re still struggling to figure out if the Dominionist political movement is fascist in nature, this evidence should help you make a decision.
Dominionism, Imperialism, Colonialism, are all based on the same beliefs and values. They are all a form of totalitarian fascism.
Manifested in varying ways, but ultimately springing from the same value system: patriarchy is the centre of all authority; hierarchies are rigid & mobility is impossible; no one but the top of the hierarchy has rights or free agency; everyone’s life is decided by the patriarchy.
That is fascism. Total control of all resources, including human resources.
We cannot allow the taboo regarding the challenge of religious faith to prevent us as a society from challenging the validity of these beliefs.
This is what religious freedom means to Dominionists.
It means no one can challenge the divine or the people who believe that the deity commands this to be the norm.
Religious freedom is supposed to guarantee everyone the agency to believe in whichever religious doctrine they choose.
But Dominionism is not religious doctrine.
It’s a political movement shrouded in adulterated and bastardized Christian doctrine.
And we have allowed that toxicity to be normalized, mainstreamed, gain power and threaten human existence for far too long.
We MUST stand up to corruption masquerading as legitimate faith.
Are all conservatives Dominionists?
No.
But the majority of CPC MPs are. So are the majority of most provincial political parties. Alberta’s UCP is 75% Dominionist Christian.
That’s why so many MLAs signed a cease and desist letter regarding covid restrictions.
And it’s why the premier just carved out a path to do just that in the next few weeks.
Because the party members overwhelmingly believe they have been given god’s divine blessing to be arbiters of life and death.
We must invalidate those beliefs. Or succumb to fascist rule.
I’m fuming. The utter condescension and contempt for education professionals by UCP is repugnant.
However, I am not surprised in the least that a conservative lackey was brought in to “endorse” the curriculum under so much public pressure to scrap it and start again.
UCP is busy boasting about the glowing endorsement by a BC teacher who wishes ever so longingly that he could use the proposed curriculum instead of the inquiry based curriculum BC has adopted. Mr. Formosa is a teacher. He even has a Masters in Education. Impressive.
But, and there is a but, Formosa is also a conservative activist. He’s a young impressionable millennial with firm ideological beliefs about right and wrong, good and bad, evidence and faith, and politics.
He’s an Anti Choice advocate that led his Campus “Pro-life” organization.
In the next month, the Alberta UCP plans on removing all covid restrictions.
This WILL result in a fourth wave and exponentially more deaths and long covid.
Do we plunge into plague or work together to prevent this inexplicable policy?
I’m assembling evidence to help make that decision and pinning it on my Twitter feed.
Attached are a selection of newer and older threads that document the UCP agenda, beliefs and values.
My hope is that anyone interested in knowing more about UCP and the paleolibertarian/anarcho-capitalist/Dominionist agenda they are currently installing will take the time to read.
What the public does with it is beyond my control. But this is my contribution to the decision.
I have an aversion to opinion writers who harp on the LPC inability to get climate legislation in place.
While I don’t advocate violence, I’m figuratively smacking a few of these people upside the head because they refuse to recognize their own actions and the impacts.
Ambitious political leaders opportunistically dragging those who don’t understand how royal assent of legislation works down the garden path to support PR and minority governments.
@ipoliticsca Why is it that climate advocates don’t realize that a minority government is a weakened position to implement these measures?
Do these opinion writers not understand how legislation is made in Canada? Do they not understand the limits our constitution?
@ipoliticsca I don’t believe they do. Or if they do, they’re actively confusing those who don’t for political gain.
Provinces hold purview over natural resources in Canada.
The Supreme Court basically just ruled that the federal government has jurisdiction to reduce carbon outputs.
@ipoliticsca Until that SCOC decision, several premiers blocked any meaningful legislation because of ideological values contrary to climate change reality.
But the door is now open for feds to implement some of those policies and measures to stave off climate catastrophe.
Merrick Garland is not covering up Bill Barr’s behaviour as attorney general. It’s far more likely that the evidence will be used during investigation of Barr’s dealings while USAG.
It’s also considerably more likely that Garland is fighting the judges orders to preserve the Department of Justice’s ability to use their own discretion about revealing sensitive information.
