(That's also why I was not at all surprised about the presence of active duty military and former LEOs at the Capitol tantrum. This is what I have been freaking out about to various degrees since the 1990s. But now I am veering even more off topic)

What I am trying to say is, if I was a wealthy bigoted ideologue who decided "overpopulation" causes climate change, I would probably fund ongoing efforts by white supremacists to infiltrate state power at all levels, and make sure they're concentrated around borders.

Probably I would make sure my buddies and I had plum spots on the boards of influential media companies, so I could, you know, help my fellas out, particularly if they're selling surveillance tech for the cause to various government agencies at the border. But hey, what do I know
