Don't Quit Your Job To Become Your Own Boss Before You Read This

Here's What Money Twitter Won't Tell You

/THREAD/
1. It's not as easy as it sounds

Don't let Money Twitter fool you

This is not easy, and you won't get rich in 6 months

It may take years to make a profit, and even that won't be consistent

If it was that easy, everyone would quit their jobs to start their own business
2. It's not as sexy as it sounds

Are you dreaming of sports cars or mansions?

Enjoying life while others work and make money for you?

In the first years, you won't be able to afford to hire others and will have to do it all by yourself
It will take time to scale your business and be able to hire employees or outsource your tasks to freelancers and agencies

Be prepared to do the work of many people and receiving the salary of zero people
3. You need money to make money

The digital age makes it easier to start an online business with not much capital

But you still need money for

• Starting capital
• Scaling your business
• Covering your expenses until you turn a profit

Make sure you have a financial cushion
4. Don't ignore your 9-5

Money Twitter will tell you that 9-5 is modern slavery and can't make you rich, and you need to quit

What your 9-5 can offer you:

• Network
• Business trips
• Free education
• Consistent investing capital

Use your 9-5 to quit your 9-5
5. There is nobody to blame

Forget the office politics

Where everyone tries to pass the blame to someone else when shit hits the fan

When you are the boss, the buck stops with you
6. Fewer options

Are you working a job you don't like?

You didn't get the raise you wanted?

Did you move to another company and it didn't turn out as expected?

Well, you can always find another job

Nothing is holding you there
You can always switch companies and jobs

But when you are the boss, you have fewer options

If you open a new business you will start from zero again

• Zero customers
• Zero revenue
• Zero profit

You either make it work or close up shop
7. Every Customer Is Your Boss

Do you hate having your boss tell you what to do?

You think by starting your own business, you won't have one?

Well, think again

At your business, every customer will be your boss
You either satisfy their needs and demands or they go somewhere else

You can't stand your boss?

Wait until you have to deal with every Karen that wants to speak to the manager
8. Say Hello To The 7-23 workday

Say goodbye to the 9-5 schedule and say hello to the 7-23

There will always be

• Deadlines
• Emergencies
• Unexpected problems

When you are the boss, you can't just go home and continue with your life
To summarize:
1. It's not as easy as it sounds
2. It's not as sexy as it sounds
3. You need money to make money
4. Don't ignore your 9-5
5. There is nobody to blame
6. Fewer options
7. Every Customer Is Your Boss
8. Say Hello To The 7-23 workday
Becoming your own boss can give you amazing returns

But don't expect that to happen overnight

Be prepared for what's waiting for you so that you don't give up after the first 6 months

A public school teacher who became a millionaire and retired at age 40?

Is that possible?

Here's how @creation247 did it

/THREAD/
@creation247 I had the honor to host yesterday @creation247 on @TwitterSpaces on the first episode of my new series "Road to F.I.R.E."

We talked about his journey to early retirement

Here are the main things he did to achieve this
@creation247 @TwitterSpaces 1.The right mindset

He didn't follow what society considers a normal lifestyle

He focused on the big expenses

Moved to another house closer to his work and sold his Mustang

He didn't think he deserved luxuries unless his cashflow from investments could pay for it

The first $100,000 is a bitch

8 things I did to get my first $100,000 after college and how you can do it too

/THREAD/
1. Lived like a student

After graduating college, I kept living like a student

No, I don't mean eating microwave ramen noodles and frozen food

It means not buying a brand new car that most people do as a "gift" to themselves for graduation
2. No lifestyle creep

Regardless of any salary increases, I kept the same spending habits

My budget has remained constant all these years

This has allowed me to accumulate more in savings during the first years

The future of employment will never be the same after the pandemic

Here's what you need to know to stay ahead

/THREAD/
I have been working 100% remotely for more than a year and will continue after the pandemic

During that year I have made several observations that gave me great insights into what the future of employment will hold

Here are some of my thoughts and predictions
1. Flexible Schedule

You will set your own schedule as long as you

• Meet the deadlines
• Satisfy client needs
• Communicate timely and effectively

The 9-5 is officially dead
